The Board of Assessors approved several motions at their September 15, 2026 meeting. Nicole Howley and Bryan Clark voted unanimously to grant Veterans Credits to Denise Schwendimann and Bonnie Peaslee, while Daniel Durant's application was tabled. They also approved Solar Exemptions for Mathew Pelrine & Hannah Josephson and the David & Sahar Snyder Trust.
The Board granted a tax abatement of $83,900 to Joshua and Marney Durand, resulting in a refund of $1,371.
Land Use Change taxes were accepted for three properties: Michael Guiney ($16,000), Michael Breton & Beth Ayers ($35,000), and Connor Guiney ($20,000). The Board reviewed 2025 and 2026 comparison values submitted by Municipal Resources, Inc. The meeting adjourned at 6:30 pm.

The Dunbarton Board of Selectmen convened on September 3, 2026. The board approved minutes from the August 20, 2026 regular session and several nonpublic sessions (8:06 p.m., 9:14 p.m., and 9:45 p.m.) as amended. Officials discussed election preparations for the September 8th state primary. The town has 2,149 registered voters, received 900 ballots (600 Republican, 300 Democrat), and polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8th. Regarding town finances, administrators reviewed the MS434 revenue report for tax rate setting. Land use change tax revenues are anticipated to exceed the $60,000 budget, while motor vehicle permit revenue appears strong. Officer Millota will be present at the polling location. The board transitions to nonpublic session to discuss contract negotiations.

Trustees Justin Nault, Mike Lessard, and Judy Keefe accepted minutes from June 9, 2026. The budget remains on track. J. Nault moved to approve up to $12,000 for Phase 2 of the East Cemetery erosion project; M. Lessard seconded, and all approved. Custom Care completed two grass applications at East Cemetery. The trustees will meet with Fred Mullen to evaluate temporary ramps for the Hearse House. A letter will be drafted to the mowing company addressing concerns. M. Lessard is coordinating with CIMS and the Wheeler family regarding lots. Manchester Monument declined repairing the John Page obelisk, so research continues for other contractors. Drone imaging was added to CIMS. An infant burial from 1936 was located via a new deed. The next meeting is September 1, 2026.

The Dunbarton Board of Selectmen met on August 20, 2026. The board approved the regular minutes from August 6, 2026, and voted to seal the non-public minutes from that date. The board appointed 13 ballot clerks and appointed Randolph Bower as alternate trustee of the trust funds through March 2027. The board adopted the final 2026 Emergency Operations Plan, which makes the town eligible for FEMA grants and must be updated every five years. Regarding parking lot repairs, Jeff Crosby provided estimates: $65,000 for the lower lot, $75,000 for the upper lot, and $35,000 for the area near the fire station. No decisions were made, and the board will conduct a joint walkthrough when gathered at the school. The board discussed a state DOT project set for October 2027 to replace a culvert and guardrails on Winslow Road and will send letters to abutters and the DOT with recommendations. Two resignations were accepted from a police department employee and a transfer station employee. A personnel workshop is scheduled for Tuesday at 11 a.m.

The Board addressed Bella Brook Conservation Area parking abuse, directing contact with the police chief. Dana Lavoie noted the Transfer Station equipment search is down to six machines, with potential grants. Dunbarton Community Power rates are at 11.2 cents until December 1. Michael Kaminski directed immediate office space changes, and is developing a new Police Chief contract for future presentation.
