Beverly Lacoy made a motion to approve the July 15, 2026 meeting minutes, seconded by Lauren Hargrave, which passed unanimously. Lauren Hargrave will attend the NHCA Fall Meeting on October 20, 2026, with Conner Bailey handling registration payment. The Trustees seek a new member; Lauren Hargrave confirmed no conflict of interest for Karen Bailey and asked Conner Bailey to contact her regarding the potential appointment. Beverly Lacoy approved the enlargement of cemetery rules, which Lauren Hargrave will have prepared before Conner Bailey hangs them. No current rules exist regarding "butter dishing"; Lauren Hargrave will research Blossom Hill Cemetery's procedures. DPW is short-staffed, affecting maintenance, though a wooden fence was replaced. Capital Reserve Funds are available without Selectboard approval for future cemetery mapping research. The next meeting is scheduled for November 18, 2026.

The Conservation Commission addressed several items. They voted to change the Rules of Procedure notification period from 14 days to 10 days. A public hearing was held to receive comments on using conservation funds for an independent appraisal of 70 acres at Map 83, Lots 46 and 47, owned by Parnassus, LLC of Maitland, FL. The Commission reviewed the Payable Manifest and financial reports for General, Conservation & Forest Funds. Upcoming business includes finalizing 2027 budget numbers in October and an update from Jonathan Christie of Granite St Engineering. Old business discussions involved the Town Forest, including abutting lots, LCHIP and Moose Plate grants for Carey Forest, the Village Town Forest link to BES, and Walker Pond Dam. The next meeting is scheduled for November 17, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.

Members voted 4-1, with Mr. Tillman opposed, to authorize $4,000 for an independent appraisal of 70 acres owned by Parnassus, LLC. The Commission unanimously set the 2027 budget at $500. Mr. Abbe received unanimous approval for an $82 reimbursement for a new chainsaw. Ms. McNaughten’s $25,000 Moose Plate grant application for Carey Forest was accepted. Chair Mihai will provide a recommendation letter to the Planning Board regarding a proposed 25-unit multifamily development. The Commission will pursue trail links with Boscawen Elementary School and discuss Walker Pond Dam ownership with the Select Board. The next meeting is November 17, 2026.
