Conservation Commission (PDF)
The Conservation Commission addressed several items. They voted to change the Rules of Procedure notification period from 14 days to 10 days. A public hearing was held to receive comments on using conservation funds for an independent appraisal of 70 acres at Map 83, Lots 46 and 47, owned by Parnassus, LLC of Maitland, FL. The Commission reviewed the Payable Manifest and financial reports for General, Conservation & Forest Funds. Upcoming business includes finalizing 2027 budget numbers in October and an update from Jonathan Christie of Granite St Engineering. Old business discussions involved the Town Forest, including abutting lots, LCHIP and Moose Plate grants for Carey Forest, the Village Town Forest link to BES, and Walker Pond Dam.
