Upfitting costs for a fire utility truck exceeded the $66,000 budget by $952.50; discussion favored using the operating budget over the expendable trust. Engineers are reviewing drainage at Damsite Road, White Oak Road culvert, and Narrows Road guardrails. No proposals were received for the highway garage. The board acknowledged a FEMA requirement to update floodplain zoning ordinances via warrant article. Two highway positions remain open.

The Selectmen approved meeting minutes from August 18th via unanimous voice vote. They acknowledged a tax office hire letter, appointed the Fire Chief to the Lakes Region Fire Mutual Board, and appointed Kevin Harrison as an alternate to the Planning Board. The Board approved expendable fund payments for paving. CIP meetings are scheduled every Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Town Hall from August 27th through September. The new town website is live but has glitches being addressed. Narrow’s Road construction is set to finish by Monday for school bus access. Regarding a DES grant for stormwater projects, the Board agreed to engage their town engineer to review concepts before consulting with the grant engineer.
