So that balance, we've been trying to
take care of some of these FEMA projects
on our list with that money.

for 342 Narrows Road?
So
over there,
that resident is repairing an existing
retaining wall is what that dees permits
for.
And then under new business, I'm going
to add the town hall door quote. Has
everybody seen that?
>> Yeah. So, this door over here that we
everybody's been having issues with. Um,
Fab's been having a hard time trying to
get the handle. Ultimately, the door
itself's drafty. There's some issues
with it. His recommendation was to
replace it. Um,
so a brand new door, just the door.
That's it. The quote we got was $2,000,
$2,337.97
for just a door. So that is Yeah,

door. I mean it's you got to think about

that that does not include installation
with that. So we're trying to hopefully
purchase the door to save money so we

officially purchased it yet.

um updating them
attorneys reviewing them all too as

Narrow's road update well that is
completed
that project is completed there. Um
we are waiting for a a quote for
guardrails that was not included in the
project.
So, that was pointed out after the fact.
So, there are Jersey barriers up right
now at the moment, but we're there's a
couple other town areas in town. Um,
we're waiting for quotes for guardrails.
So,
and just so everybody's knows the areas
of Koh's ledge road, the project we did
last year, the guardrails never got put
back up. So being a FEMA project, if
FEMA came through and saw that they
weren't there, they could potentially
make us pay all the money back. So
that's why we're getting a quote to have
them put back in Narrow's Road. It
didn't specifically say to have them,
but it makes sense to have them over in
that area. And the other one was
Sarah was getting a quote on was White
Oak down by the town beach, that culvert
there, um where it's washed out a few
times. So,
and then under old business, I'm going
to add the fire utility truck on that
has everybody seen
uh about the fire utility truck and the
price after it got done being done
upfitted.
So
ultimately the board had approved
$66,000
for the truck and a fitting. The truck
itself was 56,000.
I think it's said $810. I think I wrote
down

So $56,870
was for the truck by itself. The
upfitting
was $10,82.50.
which puts it over that what the board
approved for $66,000.
My recollection was the extra $952.50
we were going to find somewhere in the
operating budget, but the fire chief has
expressed concerns that he he doesn't
have it in his budget. So, how does the
board feel?
>> Where does the fire chief want to take
it from?
>> The expendable trust.
I
>> think if he has money in his budget, we
should allow spend his line.
>> I think he needs to take a little closer
look.
>> I I agree on that one. If there's if
there's the money in the budget for
that, I'd rather pull it out of the
operating budget than the expendable
trust honestly for that to me that
little amount I will say in it compared
to everything else. So, um, but I think
that's doable. I think we can manage
that amount.
So,

North Bared Road
update. I'm going to actually
combine this with just the engineering
projects itself there. Last week, Sarah
and myself met with both engineers
actually. Um,
the first
area we met was White Oak Road in the
area of the town beach there that cover
that keeps washing out over topping at
times.
So that is the boy and King the
engineers for that project. They're
going to get back get back to us with a
quote as to what things potentially
could can cost. They're also looking at
potential for grants uh may not cover
the full amount part of it. So
anything's better than nothing. They're
not looking at trying to do anything too
extravagant. It was pretty much just the
thought process when we were out there
was just a simple replacement. Maybe
upsize it a little bit, but nothing too
too crazy out there. Um,
so that's White Oak.
Then we met with North Point on Damsite
Emerson intersection for all of that
drainage issues we have over there going
on. filled them in on the history of it.
Sarah was out there as well. Uh so
they'll be giving us same thing quotes
as to what it potentially could cost. Um
surveying wetlands delineation
to go forward, timeline uh as to when
potentially the project could happen. I
said it all depends on it's all going
depends on cost is what it's going to
come down to with this. uh explained
that we do have money set aside already
that the town's been saving money for a
number of years and we've stopped that
for a number of years as well. So, and
they did have actual they actually did
just like I don't exact it was Rob
Livingston at DES himself or was the
homeowner that actually had aerial
footages of all the silk going into Lock
Lake. Um, but North Point had aerial
footages of that where they they could
see that all. So, they're going to be
looking at that
there. We also went to Narrows Road,
Crescent Drive, and we we all agreed
that it's going to be two separate
projects over there. One, the drainage
on the hillside. Two, the bridge
culvert, I will call it. So, North
Point's going to be looking at that as
well. Same thing. give us quotes what
they're looking at for everything. They
did say the culverts over there aren't
in bad shape,
but by the time everything gets
engineered, we have funding for it. They
even said it' probably be like 10 years
down the road. And at that point, the
culverts are going to be needing to be
replaced. So, if we can be proactive
with this and get everything planned and
start putting money aside potentially
knowing what expected cost could be,
we'll be time will be in good shape
instead of last minute and we we have to
rush. So, but them as well. North
Point's looking at grants for both
projects for all three projects I'll
say. Um,
if any would be beneficial to the town
if we could have um get some kind of
funding too as well. So,

the disaster. Didn't we put in a bigger
culver that would than what was there
and an overflow cover as well?
>> Nope. You put an overflow in because it
all washed out around with the cover
that was there.
And the overflow the just this year that
where the water was almost up and over
road up and over the road there was no
water going through that overflow when
Sarah called me at 7 o'clock at night
one night.

>> The original the original one. It's
still there.
So, but there is there is an overflow,
but it's doesn't seem to function at
all. The the other part with that where
is when that that did get washed out and
all that debris went on the outlet side,
all that sand silt debris there, um that
was being looked at to being like
excavated out,

>> Due to on on the outlet side, the water
outlets the culvert pretty much does a
180 back towards itself and then
bottlenecks right down to another 180.
kind of does like an S turn and it does
bottleneck down to

culbert anyways because that's another
fe dam situation there. If that ever
lets go, we're going to replace one.

concern of that with flooding um and all
that that debris that had already been
on the outlet side that used to not be
there going into Upper Sun Lake. So
being washed out and of course the town
beach is right there as well. So
potentially it would be some of that to
be like excavated out what we were
talking about. So but that's all through
permitting engineering. So
um
I did I did tell them because they asked
about timeline. I said again like I said
already said this pricing but
I told them 2027 we already have
projects going on. I said white oak
potentially could be 2028 depends on
funding. Dam site could be 2029
depending on funding.
Drainage
could be 2028, could be 2029. We don't
know funding though. So,

way here, breaking it up, we're not
overloading one engineer either. So

uh for damp site surveying has to happen
wetland delineation can all can come out
of that fund for dams site. So but we
got to have something to get it from
them. So between Sarah and myself, we're
trying to get the history to the
engineers for over there and everything,

that
and I did make it clear to both
engineers after I met with them,
everything from that point on goes
through Sarah. Sarah is their point of
contact, but just include me on any of
the emails just to keep me informed. But
ultimately, the engineers are going to
be talking to Sarah and trying to figure
everything out. So,
uh Pittsfield the joint meeting tomorrow
night 5:30 here in town hall
so
that will be happening and
having those but

Fab's doing some brainstorming for us is
what he's doing. Um nothing set in stone

something done before repairs fixed
before winter time. So
but yeah, so it was an unfortunate thing
that we didn't get those get anyone
for that.
You want to talk about the ConX box
cover real quick?

roof on. Um, we got a price just for the
trusses
and then a price for um all the
additional materials such as plywood,
jingles,
all the hardware, stuff like that to to
put the roof on. Um, the trusses came

weeks out. So, I'm really thinking that

if nothing else, we should order the

like the additional material is like
13,000. So it comes out to about 245. Is

I think we should um
I think the board ought to ought to
consider ordering all of that now and
then we can put our maybe a request for
sake

and most of the money will be spent by
the end of the year. So, I'd like to
have it on forward. I mean, that the
whole the whole concept of it was to put
some of the machinery, some of the
equipment that we don't use
um in the winter time, our summer stuff
under under under
a roof instead of uh it sitting on the
yard.
I mean the with that
the long-term
uh essay vision was to have power out
there so that the equipment could be on
battery tenders so we're not spending so
much money replacing batteries in the
springtime because they've gone dead
they won't hold the charge anymore. So
when you get every piece of equipment
that has two batteries in it they add up
quickly. So,

I just wanted to um take a moment to
thank all the election officials for the
election last Tuesday. It's a long day.
It's a lot of work. And you and all of
the elected officials and your staff did
a great job.

two quick updates I'll say.
One was CIP met last week. Uh we went
over police department request there.
Theirs was just cruisers and the sally
port they had talked about last year.
some kind of
cover where they can park cruises under,
but they're not being driven instead of
out front. Um
originally on the request they was
trying to put money aside each year
conversation went into which which is a
board decision though uh lease
purchasing
you know and it was brought up as to why
and I wasn't on the board at the time
but why the board got away from lease
purchasing. um that seemed to have
originally was set up where it kind of
leveled out the tax rate there for us.
So ultimately that's something the board
looks at. So

board, there is a proposal for a cell
tower in town. Don't know if you've

is, which is came from from FEMA, the
flood plane insurance program. So, and
we don't really have a choice. there has
to be a warrant article to change it
around. Um that's kind of new to the
planet that just got sent to us uh the
last couple weeks. So,
but
they're going through
they figured six month process for them
to go through and so that we have to
update the flood plane zoning ordinance.
If we don't, then property owners in
town potentially won't have flood
insurance. So,
and I'll pass it around so you can see
it in bold letters where it says it must
be put on the warn article. So,
but that's the email I got. So, but just
so everybody's aware. So, you will see
