Jeff Nute reported NHDES wetland delineation permits for the Gale Chandler Rd. culvert are finalized, with permits expected by fall; he recommended using UV lining. Concrete erosion on the Gale Chandler Rd. bridge uphill abutment requires repair. Ammonoosuc Asphalt will pave Gale Chandler Rd. and two Mill Brook Rd. sections. Nute will rent an excavator for a month to work on Mill Brook, Pearl Lake, and Foster Hill Roads. The Lyman Highway Dept. was approved to borrow mats for street repairs. Regarding Driveway Permit Applications, the Select Board agreed with the Planning Board that a second application for a separate driveway is required, which will be denied, allowing the resident to appeal to the Board of Adjustment. The Select Board agreed to draft a standard denial letter for these cases. The July 8, 2026 minutes were approved. The May 2026 Treasurer’s report was approved. A letter will be sent to the owner of 95 Chandler Pond Rd. regarding a new RV permit application. Rachael Booth will investigate updating the Town Hall laptop for the Supervisors of the Checklist.

The Landaff Select Board met on July 8, 2026, with Rachael Booth, Harry McGovern, and Mary Beaudin present. The Friends of Landaff funded a new window installation for the Town Clerk and Tax Collector. The Board agreed to investigate purchasing a drop box for Town Hall deliveries. Building Permit #2026-06-24 for Richard Basnar was approved following discussion. Regarding the King Hill Road drainage issue, Harry McGovern reported the responsibility lies with the property owner, not the Town Road Agent. A response from Lisbon Library Trustees was received and filed. The Board approved the Fire Department's request to use town buildings for Old Home Days in August. The June 10, 2026 meeting minutes were approved. Harry made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mary, ending the meeting at 7:05 p.m.

The Conservation Commission met May 28, 2026. Present were Richard Giunta, Drew Youngs, Eli Gerard, and Cheryl Fonda. Minutes from the May 26 meeting were approved via motion by Richard Giunta and seconded by Eli Gerard. Members discussed the successful roadside cleanup on May 16 and are researching a possible fall pickup. NHACC membership and dues were tabled. Richard Giunta reported on the April 29 potluck; the next gathering is this fall in Sugar Hill. Cheryl Fonda will request a list of town-owned land. The ACT Annual Stewardship Meeting is set for July 15 at 6:00 p.m. at Franconia Town Hall. The next regular meeting, originally scheduled for June, was postponed by motion. The next meeting is July 30.

The Board approved a motion by Harry, seconded by Mary, to begin the deed process on delinquent property located on Moses Clark Rd. (Map 6 Lot 60). The Tax Collector will be notified to proceed. Mary was designated to attend the Ammonoosuc Conservation Trust Annual Meeting on July 15, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Franconia Town Hall. Fire Chief John Barth and an electrician planned smoke/fire detector installation for the Town Hall. Assistant Fire Chief Jason Cartwright reported completion of personnel gear grants and intended to apply for a new tanker truck. The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.

The Select Board approved an estimate for window replacements at the Town Clerk and Tax Collector offices. Jeff Nute received Board consent to hire Travis Smith as a part-time Assistant Road Agent, with Allen Boulet assisting as needed. Jeff plans to obtain a permit for Gale Chandler Rd. engineering estimates. Concerning the Merrill Mountain Rd. box culvert, Jeff will send a follow-up letter to coordinate a meeting with Rick Vayo and the Controller. The Board was informed of a planned summer excavator rental costing approximately $4,000 monthly for detour road cleanup. Jeff will obtain quotes for a small garage heater. Building Permits #2026-04-21 for 575 Mill Brook Rd. and #2026-05-04 for 1000 Gale Chandler Rd. were approved. Minutes from the April 29 meeting were signed. The meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
