The Select Board approved an estimate for window replacements at the Town Clerk and Tax Collector offices. Jeff Nute received Board consent to hire Travis Smith as a part-time Assistant Road Agent, with Allen Boulet assisting as needed. Jeff plans to obtain a permit for Gale Chandler Rd. engineering estimates. Concerning the Merrill Mountain Rd. box culvert, Jeff will send a follow-up letter to coordinate a meeting with Rick Vayo and the Controller. The Board was informed of a planned summer excavator rental costing approximately $4,000 monthly for detour road cleanup. Jeff will obtain quotes for a small garage heater. Building Permits #2026-04-21 for 575 Mill Brook Rd. and #2026-05-04 for 1000 Gale Chandler Rd. were approved. Minutes from the April 29 meeting were signed. Present: Mary Beaudin, Rachael Booth, and Frances R. Day, Administrative Assistant
Guest: Cathy Ferony, Town Clerk

Jeff Nute, Road Agent

Meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m.

Rachael welcomed Cathy to the meeting. Cathy asked that the Board review the Community
Profile Worksheet before submitting same. Cathy will make the necessary corrections prior to
forwarding to State. Cathy also discussed with the Board, the new window replacement for both
the Town Clerk and the Tax Collector. After a brief discussion, the estimate was approved and
Cathy will make arrangements for the installation. Cathy thanked the Board and left the
meeting.

Jeff advised the Board that as of this date, there has been no response to our newspaper ads
relating to an Assistant Road Agent. He would like to stop the ads at this time as he has spoken
with Travis Smith. Travis is currently working at the Transfer Station in Lisbon on a part-time
basis and could be available when he is not in Lisbon. After a brief discussion and with the
Board’s consent, Jeff stated he would like to hire him part-time. Jeff advised that Allen Boulet
has agreed to help when needed.

Jeff stated that spring raking and rolling were on the schedule, weather permitting.

He advised that he would like to get going on Gale Chandler Rd. He would like to get the permit
in place and will be speaking with Horizons engineer and Mitchie to get estimates and review
with the Board.

Regarding the box culvert on Merrill Mountain Rd., Jeff reported that he spoke with Rick
Vayo recently. Rick would like to meet with Jeff and the Controller. Jeff will sent out a follow
up letter to discuss.

Jeff informed the Board that he would like to rent an excavator or a month this summer. The
rental will cost approximately $4,000/mo. He has been cleaning up the area around the detour
road.


Jeff also stated that he is looking into a small heater for the garage to take the chill off the
building when working inside. He will get quotes on price and get back to the Board.

Jeff reminded the Board that Saturday will be “Clean Up Day”. He will leave a truck in the
Town Hall parking lot for the blue bags to collected and put into the truck for the dump. Jeff
then left the meeting.

The minutes of the April 29, 2026 meeting were signed and approved.

The Treasurer’s Report was reviewed and signed and will be filed accordingly.

The following Building Permit Applications were approved and signed:

Permit #2026-04-21 - 575 Mill Brook Rd.
Permit #2026-05-04 — 1000 Gale Chandler Rd.

There being no further business to come before the Board, Mary made a motion to adjourn,
seconded by Rachael.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
