July 8, 2026 meeting
The Landaff Select Board met on July 8, 2026, with Rachael Booth, Harry McGovern, and Mary Beaudin present. The Friends of Landaff funded a new window installation for the Town Clerk and Tax Collector. The Board agreed to investigate purchasing a drop box for Town Hall deliveries. Building Permit #2026-06-24 for Richard Basnar was approved following discussion. Regarding the King Hill Road drainage issue, Harry McGovern reported the responsibility lies with the property owner, not the Town Road Agent. A response from Lisbon Library Trustees was received and filed. The Board approved the Fire Department's request to use town buildings for Old Home Days in August. Landaff Select Board Meeting Landaff, NH July 8, 2026 6PM Minutes Present: Rachael Booth, Harry McGovern and Mary Beaudin Guests: Richard Basnar Catherine Ferony, Town Clerk Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Rachael welcomed Cathy to the meeting. Cathy reported that a new window was installed this past week for the Tax Collector and Town Clerk. The Friends of Landaff contributed the entire cost of the window and installation. The Board will send a note to the Friends for their generous donation. Cathy advised that do to the number of packages being left outside the Town Hall by FedEx and other delivery services, she recommends that a drop box be purchased and placed at the entrance, The Board agreed and will look into the purchase of same. Rachael then welcomed Dick Basnar to the meeting. Mr. Basnar had questions regarding the building permit for a house he intends to build across the street. Discussion ensued and Building Permit #2026-06-24 was approved. The Board then discussed King Hill Rd. and the runoff/drainage problem previously presented at the June 10, 2026 meeting. Harry reported that he looked at the property and could not see that runoff could be affected by the Town Road Agent and is almost certainly going to be the responsibility of the property owner to remedy. Mary reported that that a response has been received to the Select Board’s letter to Lisbon Library Trustees. Said response was discussed and will be placed on file. In response to the Fire Department’s request for use of the town buildings during Old Home Days to be held on the third weekend in August, the Board agreed and approved. The minutes of the June 10, 2026 meeting were approved and signed. There being no further business to come before the Board, Harry made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mary.
