Sam Kent was unanimously appointed to fill the Selectboard vacancy for a one-year term. Officers were elected unanimously: Alex Winn as Chairman and Judy Idelkope as Vice-Chair. Minutes from January 27th passed unanimously, while February 3rd minutes passed by majority with Sandra abstaining. The School District voted 54-51 to add $120,000 for a third-grade teacher, though hiring will depend on enrollment. The town budget is 23% expended after the first quarter. Ware’s Grove building demolition is delayed until fall. The nurse position is filled, while two custodial roles remain vacant. The next meeting is July 7th at 7 PM.

Attendance allowed Bruce Soltys via Zoom by a unanimous 9-0 vote after he moved for permission. April 14th minutes were approved as amended by majority with Karen Denzler and Leslie Frank abstaining. The Town budget is expended 45% overall, while Investigations is at 530%, with police handling 1,160 calls year-to-date. The School District reported a June 30, 2026 final report, noting no decision yet on the $120,000 for an extra teacher; they intend to retain $350,000 to reduce tax impact. Burt Riendeau inquired about Soccer Field expenditures. Chesterfield Fire & Rescue reported 248 calls to date. The Chesterfield Planning Board met August 17, 2026. Bissell motioned to approve August 3, 2026 minutes; unanimous approval. The Zinn Rd./Atherton Hill lot line adjustment requires a licensed surveyor's seal and corrected notes. Hancock motioned to schedule a final approval public meeting for September 21, 2026; unanimous approval. The Board approved the lot line adjustment for 54 & 72 Spaulding Hill Rd. regarding property line and garage disputes, with findings that all adjustments were complete and owners agreed. Roll call vote: 6-0. Plans signed post-meeting. Brodbine will draft an O/R/S zone elimination proposal for September 21. The Board unanimously approved proposed changes to Zoning Ordinance 207.7 regarding Camping Units and the removal of Ordinance 408, scheduling a public hearing for September 21, 2026. The Board recommended a 2027 budget of $6,401, covering secretary salary and various services; unanimous approval. A conceptual consultation for a VA clinic is set for September 21.

The Planning Board unanimously approved July 20, 2026 minutes. For the 54 & 72 Spaulding Hill Rd lot line adjustment, the Board required two plan corrections: a witness bar for a monument and a rebar set in the SE corner. Selectboard input on abutting town property was requested. Hancock motioned to schedule a public meeting for final approval on August 17, 2026, contingent on positive Selectboard response by August 6, 2026; this passed unanimously. The Board revised Zoning Ordinances 207 and 408, defining a "Camping Unit" (CU) and outlining occupancy restrictions, including permits for stays over 7 days and a 90-day annual limit. Section 408 was deleted contingent on the passage of Section 207.7. Land regulations for lot line adjustments and subdivisions were tabled. The meeting adjourned at 8:33 pm.

The Conservation Commission approved amended April 27th minutes unanimously. SPEAKER_2 moved approval seconded by SPEAKER_3. Land projects included the successful May 23rd watershed event with over 35 attendees. New permits were issued for Town of Chesterfield’s Demo Ware’s Grove Cottage a dock at 10 Dompier Road and twoIntent to cut requests. ZBA seeks a 50-foot setback waiver for 27 White Birch Drive. SPEAKER_7 asked about Commission Town website usage. Upcoming events include paranormal investigation at Madame Sherri’s Forest Society approved parking September 29th-30th watershed event and outside event September 28th. SPEAKER_2 identified previously reported cattails as invasive phragmites. Spofford Lake has a Lake Host vacancy water level at 12” boards 14” July 25th Annual Meeting Yacht Club tickets $60 for members.
