The Conservation Commission approved amended April 27th minutes unanimously. SPEAKER_2 moved approval seconded by SPEAKER_3. Land projects included the successful May 23rd watershed event with over 35 attendees. New permits were issued for Town of Chesterfield’s Demo Ware’s Grove Cottage a dock at 10 Dompier Road and twoIntent to cut requests. ZBA seeks a 50-foot setback waiver for 27 White Birch Drive. SPEAKER_7 asked about Commission Town website usage. Upcoming events include paranormal investigation at Madame Sherri’s Forest Society approved parking September 29th-30th watershed event and outside event September 28th. SPEAKER_2 identified previously reported cattails as invasive phragmites. Spofford Lake has a Lake Host vacancy water level at 12” boards 14” July 25th Annual Meeting Yacht Club tickets $60 for members. TOWN OF CHESTERFIELD CONSERVATION COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES JUNE 8, 2026 Present: Kathy Thatcher, Facilitator; Susan Donahue, Pam Walton, Bruce Jacobs, Lynne Borofsky, Ken Holvick, Alternate; and Mary Ewall, Selectboard Representative Communication – Lynne shared a thank you from NH Lakes Minutes – Bruce moved April 27th for discussion. The motion was seconded by Pam. Bruce moved to approve April 27th as amended. The motion was seconded by Pam and passed unanimously. Land Projects – Watershed event on May 23rd event was a success. There were at least 35 people in attendance. New Permits – A). Town of Chesterfield – Demo Ware’s Grove Cottage B). 10 Dompier Road – a Dock was permitted C). 2 – Intent to cut Planning/Zoning – ZBA 27 White Birch Drive seeking a waiver of the 50 foot setback Selectboard Report – Mary asked about the Commission using the Town website. Grants/Events – A). Paranormal Investigation at Madame Sherri’s on June 6th and 7th. Received permission from the Forest Society to park overnight. Watershed Event September 29th to 30th. Outside event on September 28th. Spofford Lake Report – A). There is a vacancy for a Lake Host B). The Water Level is 12” Boards are at 14” C). The Annual Meeting is July 25th at the Yacht Club. Tickets are $60 for members. Other – Susan shared the cattails identified last month’s minutes were phragmites and are invasive.
