Andy Sanborn moved to waive the boundary survey requirement for the original lot, approved 5-0-0. Will Ellis moved to accept the proposed stone boundary markers, approved 5-0-0. The public hearing opened and closed with no comments. Thomas Lynch moved that there was no regional impact, approved 5-0-0. Brandon Deacon moved that the subdivision met all regulations; final approval was 5-0-0. For the FY ’27-‘28 budget, $3000 for engineers and $2500 for consultants were noted as potential increases. The Board will revisit the budget on October 1. Andy Sanborn moved to send driveway recommendations to the attorney, approved 5-0-0.

The Recreation Commission approved $30 in financial aid for soccer registration. Carter motioned for and Riendeau seconded a $2,000 revolving fund expense for fall sports supplies, including shirts and whistles; the motion passed. Financials for June through August were tabled until the September 8, 2026 meeting. Commission members voted to approve minutes from June 9, 2026, with corrections.
A beach raft sold for $475. Upcoming events include Movie in the Park on August 26 with a rain date of August 27, and a collaborative Fall Hike set for September 26 at 9:00 am. Coordinator Pelissier will obtain quotes from BC Screenprinting and Tilton Sign Works, follow up on a June-approved MOU with the town administrator, and create registration forms and signage for the hike. Soccer registration reached 84 players.

The Budget Committee approved minutes from August 26, with Joe Bodwell abstaining, and September 9 by unanimous vote. Regarding the FY28 Pay Matrix, the committee recommended a 3% increase. This motion passed 5-1-1, with Backman, Rechcygl, Plenge, Silvia, and Bodwell voting yes; Brown voting no; and Stevens abstaining. The Selectboard had previously voted for a 3.5% increase. The committee discussed that higher recent raises aimed to bring town employee salaries in line with neighboring municipalities. The meeting adjourned at 6:28pm, with the date of the next meeting listed as TBD.

The Planning Board met August 20, 2026, with Chair Andrew Sanborn and members Brandon Deacon, Jody Slack, and alternate Stephania Surowiec present. Stephania Surowiec was seated as a voting member. The Board approved the August 8, 2026, minutes by a 4-0-0 vote.
Regarding the Torti subdivision, the Board discussed storm water maintenance, emphasizing the need for written agreements, easements for town inspection, and a maintenance bond. Members will review documents individually for the next meeting on September 3, 2026.
The Board holds approximately $2,800 in Master Plan Committee funds. Brandon Deacon moved to hold a public hearing on September 3, 2026, to discuss the housing chapter of the Master Plan; the motion passed 4-0-0. A Joint Land Use meeting is set for October 1, 2026. The Town will implement expense-tracking software on September 1, 2026. The CIP committee requires two additional members.

The Trustees of the Trust Funds meeting was called to order at 2:04pm with Megan Farkas (Chair), Shawna Sample-Garcia, and Susan Stevens present. The 5-Aug meeting minutes were approved as amended by unanimous vote. The board approved two reimbursements: $4,154.77 to the library from the Expendable Trust Fund for Employees for unused vacation and sick time, and $544,839.75 to the town from the Roads and Bridges Capital Reserve Fund for road paving and construction. Both payments were approved by the Board of Selectmen on 08/26/2026. Checks #107 and #216 were signed accordingly. Charitable trust funds showed approximately 10% growth in FY2026. A motion to allocate 3% to income and reinvest the remaining 7% in principal was passed unanimously, adhering to the maximum allocation percentage. The meeting adjourned at 3:50pm.
