Trustees of the Trust Funds Agenda (PDF) (minutes)

The Trustees of the Trust Funds meeting was called to order at 2:04pm with Megan Farkas (Chair), Shawna Sample-Garcia, and Susan Stevens present. The 5-Aug meeting minutes were approved as amended by unanimous vote. The board approved two reimbursements: $4,154.77 to the library from the Expendable Trust Fund for Employees for unused vacation and sick time, and $544,839.75 to the town from the Roads and Bridges Capital Reserve Fund for road paving and construction. Both payments were approved by the Board of Selectmen on 08/26/2026. Checks #107 and #216 were signed accordingly. Charitable trust funds showed approximately 10% growth in FY2026. A motion to allocate 3% to income and reinvest the remaining 7% in principal was passed unanimously, adhering to the maximum allocation percentage. The meeting adjourned at 3:50pm. • Meeting called to order @2:04 at Town Offices in Sanbornton. Attendees: Megan Farkas 
(Chair, Present), Shawna Sample-Garcia (Present), Susan Stevens (Present). 
• 5-Aug meeting minutes were reviewed.

Megan moved and Susan seconded to approve meeting minutes as amended. Passed 
by unanimous vote.  
• Received vouchers from the town for review and reimbursement.

Megan moved and Susan seconded that we reimburse the library $4154.77 from the 
Expendable Trust Fund for Employees, for unused vacation and sick time as 
approved by the BOS on 08/26/2026. Motion passed unanimously. Shawna and 
Susan signed check #107 for $4154.77.

Megan moved and Shawna seconded that we reimburse the town $544,839.75 from 
the Roads and Bridges Capital Reserve Fund, for road paving and construction as 
approved by the BOS on 08/26/2026. Motion passed unanimously. Shawna and 
Susan signed check #216 for $544,839.75.  
• Annual Report reviewed in order to assess reinvestment strategy.

For the purpose of financial reporting we looked at the investment performance for 
the charitable trust funds and determined that the accounts grew approximately 10% 
through FY2026.

Susan moved and Megan seconded that we allocate 3% to income and reinvest the 
remaining 7% in principle. (The maximum allocation percentage, per the Trustees of 
the Town of Sanbornton Investment Policy, is 3%.) Motion passed unanimously.
