The North Conway Water Precinct Commission met August 17, 2026. They approved minutes from July 14, August 3, and non-public session August 3 by a 3-0-0 vote. Commissioners approved the Fire Department Anti-Nepotism Policy 3-0-0. They signed a McLane Middleton engagement letter for the Lower Bartlett IMA project and appointed Commissioner Fauver as lead for those discussions, both 3-0-0. A Sewer Connection Waiver Request form was approved 3-0-0. The Amended Collective Bargaining Agreement and four Capital Reserve withdrawal requests were signed by 3-0-0 vote. The Fire Master Plan presentation is September 23. The Compact Wheel Loader delivery is mid-September; the 10-Wheel Dump Truck was picked up. WWTF office closure is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday morning due to generator power transfer.

The Fire Department scheduled a public hearing for September 23rd at 7PM regarding its Master Plan. Project updates include the delivery of the WWTF pickup truck, expected delivery of a compact wheel loader at the end of August, and initiation of the Skimobile-Artist Falls Water Main construction this week. An alternatives analysis recommended upgrades at the Remoat Trail Pump Station and a new force main to Grove Street, with a design kick-off meeting set for early August.

The North Conway Water Precinct Board of Commissioners met on July 20, 2026. The meeting agenda included a call to order, public hearings, and approval of minutes. The North Conway Water Precinct Commission approved a $116,467 grant agreement with the NHDES for the replacement of the International 6-wheel dump truck and authorized the purchase of a new Mack truck for $145,584. Commissioners also authorized a $625,000 design contract with Wright-Pierce for the Remoat Trail Pump Station and Forcemain project. Ryan Britland was hired as a Water Operator.Payroll and accounts payable checks from July 16, 2026, were ratified. Fire Chief McCarthy reported the department responded to 120 calls in July and 870 calls year-to-date. Superintendent Gagnon noted the WWTF pickup truck invoice was processed, with delivery expected within weeks, and the 6-wheel dump truck has an estimated October delivery.

The Board of Commissioners unanimously approved signing the Inter-Municipal Agreement (IMA) for wastewater disposal with Conway, contingent upon Department of Justice approval. Commissioner Fauver moved, seconded by Commissioner Morrison, passing 3-0-0 to settle the Conway Village Fire District lawsuit by signing a mutual general release and terminating the court case. Regarding PFAS treatment, Commissioners discussed wastewater sludge disposal and agreed maintaining local control and utilizing current funding opportunities is preferable to future full project funding. Superintendent Gagnon and Mr. Smith will continue investigating building a shared PFAS treatment facility and associated costs. The meeting adjourned at 5:06 PM.
