The Select Board approved August 10 meeting minutes with corrections and agreed to the 250th Celebration Committee’s request to place a time capsule in Community Park. The Prescott Park Master Plan was presented; the estimated total cost is $18.5 million, with Phase 1 at $11.123 million. No formal votes were taken on the plan.
Chief Harper requested and received approval to spend $6,500 from the Buildings and Maintenance Expendable Trust for a police station fire suppression system repair. The Board authorized a public hearing to accept a $10,300 Highway Safety Grant. They also unanimously supported the NHDES watershed grant application to address pollution at the Lake Waukewan boat ramp and Forrest Hill Road. The Stewart’s Ambulance Agreement vote was postponed to September 13.
Administratively, the Board canceled the October 12 meeting and agreed to form a committee to study employee space needs. The next meeting is scheduled for September 14, 2026.

The Prescott Park Renovation Committee met August 11, 2026. Lynn Leighton moved to approve the June 23, 2026 minutes; seconded by Andrea Bourn, the motion carried. The Meredith Zoning Board of Adjustment met August 13, 2026. Girard, Jutton, Skinner, Thorpe, and Lombard were present. The board approved minutes from July 9 and July 29, 2026, by 5-0 votes.
In Case #5475, Michael and Jane Brown appealed for a variance to construct a new single-family dwelling with reduced setbacks at 68 Cattle Landing Road. Janis Roberts moved to approve amended June 9, 2026 minutes; John MacKinnon seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
