The Prescott Park Renovation Committee met August 11, 2026. Lynn Leighton moved to approve the June 23, 2026 minutes; seconded by Andrea Bourn, the motion carried. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at approximately 5:37 p.m. by Dan Curnyn, Chairperson.

Consideration of Previous Meeting Minutes
Lynn Leighton made a motion to approve the June 23, 2026 meeting minutes. A second was made by Andrea
Bourn. The motion carried.

Old Business
● Playground Naming Discussion & Grand Opening: Lynn Leighton and Joan Aiken provided an update
on the proposed sign for the playground. The committee discussed options for playground names,
recognition for those who donated money and in kind services, and opted for keeping the sign consistent
with the color, fonts, etc. as the skate park sign. The proposed date for the Grand Opening is Saturday,
October 3, 2026 at 10 a.m.

New Business
● Selectboard Meeting Presentation: The committee prepared for the upcoming Selectboard meeting on
August 24, 2026.
● Fundraising Efforts: The committee discussed different funding opportunities such as sponsors and state
and federal grants.

General Discussion
General discussion was had by the committee members.

The next Prescott Park Renovation Committee meeting will be held on September 10, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. A
