Selectmen approved purchasing two sets of bunker gear boots for the Fire Department at $573 per set (3-0 vote). The Board moved forward with crack sealing projects, approving $17,215 to seal School Street, Cross Road, and Sand Hill Road (3-0 vote); additionally, $3,300 was approved to seal the Rest Area lot using Rest Area funds, and another $3,300 (supplemented by Capital Reserve funds) to seal Fire, Town Office, and Police Department lots (3-0 vote). A Department and Committee Head Budget Letter for FY 2027 was approved for dissemination August 4th. For the September 8 Primary Election, coverage plans are pending approval at the August 17 meeting. The Tax Collector identified four properties for potential deeding due to unpaid taxes to be presented August 17. The Board entered nonpublic session (3-0) and later adjourned (3-0).

The Rumney Planning Board met July 28, 2026. The June 30 minutes were approved via a motion by Jen Prouty, seconded by Zack Richards, with all members voting in favor. Regarding correspondence, State Subdivision approval was received for a campground at the old Macomber property on Rt 25. Gate City Properties applied for a state road permit onto Rt 25.
The Board approved the Brox/Sobetzer Lot Line Adjustment, submitted to satisfy NH Electric Coop meter requirements. Brian Flynn recused himself. Isaac DeWever motioned to accept the application, seconded by Zack Richards; all voted in favor. DeWever then motioned to approve the adjustment, seconded by Richards, and all voted in favor. The Board discussed Joe Chivelle’s subdivision on Old Stage Coach Rd and the Sobetzer Easement lot line adjustment. For Oasis Place, Seren Elizabeth requested a waiver for a single lot subdivision for her father's home using veteran’s benefits. The Board will conduct a site visit next.

The Board approved payroll and accounts payable. Regarding the Transfer Station, Superintendent Ouellette reported the first round of DES Solid Waste reimbursements is submitted for an estimated $400.00 and will explore approaching area towns to increase tonnage.
Chief Patten reported 16 open court cases. The radar sign on Route 25 tracked 13,500 vehicles in 7 days, with 73% exceeding the speed limit. The Board entered nonpublic session at 6:45 PM (3-0).
The Town received $42,703.00 from Forest and Lands. The Board voted 3-0 to apply a $1,443.00 credit toward 2027 Worker Compensation coverage. Plymouth Ambulance reimbursement totals $56,986.92. Junkyard cleanup at 172 School Street is 90% compliant.
The Board authorized a purchase order for 2026-2027 winter sand at $13.75 per yard and signed a purchase agreement signed by Ed Haskell. The Board signed the 2025 MS-535 audit form.
NHDES authorized emergency work for the School Street culvert replacement until August 15, 2026. Selectman Berti motioned to sign EMS District formation documents; the motion passed 3-0. The Board approved the Eaton property use agreement for Old Home Day parking.
