The Groveton Conservation Committee met on September 17, 2026, with Brian Newton, Gordon Gray, and Clint Bramlett in attendance. Brian moved to approve April 16, 2026 minutes; all approved. Gordon presented a $43,000 grant from the NH Charitable Foundation, raising the Conservation Fund balance to $48,187.57 from a starting $5,185.00. Clint moved to purchase checks for $30; unanimously approved. The group approved a sign design for the Lawrence Benoit Memorial by Nancy Gray. Gordon moved to have Clint update member contact info; all agreed. Regarding the Northumberland Community Trail, Jesse Everleth will add landscape mat and 4-6 inches of ledge pack. The Select Board approved August 31, 2026 minutes 2-0 and authorized Primex to use the Town Meeting Room for a fee 2-0. Regarding the Carwash Asbestos Building removal, the Board approved paying the abatement company $17,900 and transferring that amount from the Municipal Building CRF to the General Fund by 2-0 votes. An additional $9,900 was transferred from the CRF-Municipal Building Maintenance to the General Fund for the demolition of the old carwash building (vote 2-0). The Board approved a zoning permit for T Mobile to install a generator and a non-resident transfer station permit for Steven Tate, both passing 2-0. Permission was granted for the Rotobec Anniversary event on September 26, 2026. The next Select Board meeting is scheduled for September 28, 2026 at 6:00 PM.

The Board concurred with T. Letson’s request to establish a new capital reserve fund for 2025 to fund future technology purchases. This decision addresses the need to replace current tax and accounting software which the new owner will eventually stop supporting. J. Weagle moved to enter Non-Public Session, seconded by K. Bronson, passing 3-0. The Board voted 3-0 to seal Section A of the Non-Public minutes covering a sealed land/resident matter. The next Select Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 3, 2025, at 6 pm. The meeting adjourned at 2:36 pm following a motion by J. Weagle and a second by K. Bronson, with a vote of 3-0.

The Select Board approved minutes from February 18, 2025, by a 3-0 vote. Highway Department expenses reached $27,000 of the $43,000 salt budget, prompting a potential amendment at Town Meeting. A $4,000 road patch was completed on State St. The Water Department fixed leaks, saving 37,000 gallons daily, and ordered two aerator motors at $1,400 each.
