Vice Chair Prentice moved to authorize LRPC to revise the plan for broader balance, circulate it for comments, and present it to the full Commission in spring. Approved 06/22/26, the Lakes Region Planning Commission met April 27, 2026, in Franklin. Chair Ayer established a quorum and called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. Commissioners approved March 23, 2026 minutes via voice vote. A motion by George Tuthill, seconded by Andy Anderson, passed unanimously. Executive Director Saunders announced nominations remain open for annual meeting awards and two vacant Executive Board seats. Commissioners were asked to solicit sponsors for the annual meeting. Transportation Planner Glenn Trefethen presented on the EPA Brownfield Assessment Grant, totaling $475,000 and available through September 30, 2027. Funding supports environmental assessments, hazardous materials surveys, and site reuse planning, requiring municipal involvement.
