The Recycling and Solid Waste Committee met September 1, 2026. Sherri Cheney reported tipping fees increased to $143.77 per ton in July. The committee decided to continue monitoring fees. Irene Hou reported Terracycle will pay out $463.37 from 46,337 points in January 2027. For Household Hazardous Waste Day on October 17, 2026, Bow will pay Dunbarton $350 for Greg Rule to manage transportation and disposal of local items. Greg and Sherri will decide on waste oil disposal options. Sherri updated the HHWD contract with vendor NH Recycles and forwarded it to Town Manager David Stack. Specific tasks were assigned to members for event publicity and logistics. The Trex program will restart in April 2027 to work toward the next $100 gift. HELPYSY collected 559 pounds recently. The next meeting is October 6, 2026, and Sherri will attend the Joint Selectmen meeting October 13.

The Capital Improvements Committee met on August 31, 2026. They unanimously approved the July 28, 2026 minutes with a revision clarifying Parks and Recreation contributions. The Commission unanimously approved the June 3, 2026 minutes, with Mr. Foote abstaining. The Board of Selectmen allocated $300,000 in Tax Increment Financing for the Dow Road/Route 3-A intersection improvements, which are nearing completion despite member frustration over the reduced funding level.
