So I'm Dr. Lisa Beechoff.
I'm the health officer at the town of Pittsburgh.
So most of you that don't know me.

I'd like to provide a brief and transparent update on a case I've been working on involving
hazardous debris cleanup properties connected to the Ricksilba asbestos matter.
In March, a house of 2361, North Main Street was illegally burned.
The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services required that all debris be tested for
asbestos before any material was new.
Wendy and Pryos began being relocated to another of these properties without the required testing.
I began working closely with the state, and I issued a cease and desist order for the following properties.
Sunset campgrounds and cabin rentals, Ms. Sally Cones, 2361, North Main Street, 2356 North Main Street, and Engwins Trailer Park Drive.
Since then, I've been working close.
since then, I've been working closely with the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services
and the Solid Waste Division to ensure the cleanup follows all states and federal regulations.
Testing confirmed that demolition debris at the main house site does contain asbestos.
Because of that, the cleanup must follow strict, regulated safety procedures.
This is a controlled process.
Over the next several days, you will see licensed asbestos professionals.
asbestos professionals working at these locations.
They will be wearing full protective suits and respirators.
I want to emphasize that this protective gear is required for their close range work
and does not mean the surrounding community is in danger,
but obviously avoid those areas while they are actively working at the site.
The debris will be carefully inspected, sorted, and packaged for proper disposal,
a license asbestos.
asbestos, abatement contractor will manage the work, and an industrial hygienist will oversee safety and sampling throughout the process.
All waste will be transported to an approved disposal facility.
The seances' order shall remain in effect until all required work has been completed and formally approved
by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services and the local health officer.
No construction, renovation,
renovation or other site activity other than authorized asbestos abatement may occur
on these properties while the cease and assist order is in effect.
We are committed to keeping the public informed so that no one is left in the dark
about what they are seeing.

There is a crew currently in Jefferson that is moving telephone, internet, whatever, from the old pole to the new pole.
and removing the old poles.
Having said that, there's 1,500 current poles to be removed in the state of New Hampshire.
They hope all of these old poles will be gone by the end of the year.
They also talked, they would like to put two batteries up near First Lake Dam.
So if there's a problem down this way with power, they could backfeed
from those batteries. The two batteries are the size of two tractor trailer trucks.
They have some of these in Maine. I checked with the map, all that property is owned by the same
people that own the dam. I've talked to Tim Furrington at the dam. He has reached out to his
people. I have to reach out to this engineer tomorrow so those can stop
communicating with each other. They would paint them any color anybody would like.
The state shed is on by the state though, right?
Yeah, there's five acres of the state only and by it.
Ideal spot would be right near the cemetery because that's where the three days ends.
It gets pretty thin in there for some wheels.

But if we're going to get 23 million of federal money to go somewhere or whatever,
now they're looking for a new facility area and a new facility that would fit that criteria.
I think the question is going to be asked,
doesn't the facility in West Coast Town fit that criteria to get that full money?
To get the 30 million.
what they alluded to in the article I'm following you.
They alluded to is that they had to put an addition on an existing building.
They were seeing something about their building.
If they destroyed or if they took the correctional facility out of there,
that wouldn't qualify because then they're building a new structure somehow.
I found the article in the chronicle just as confusing and they were
and they were, I didn't know, they went one way and then they went another.
It left, there's a lot of option left open.
So we've got to narrow, somebody's going to narrow this down.
Yes, we can take that federal money and do this and this with it.
I mean, I don't understand that.
It's just like on this report right here on page seven where they give their recommendations.
They're giving you three recommendations instead of stating
what they want to do.

And I guess they're not at that point yet.
And maybe, let's see, maybe with some input from the communities, other than just someone that's no one like me,
and maybe with some of that input would put some worth back into keeping that facility as is
and spending the money on it.
I don't know.
There's a lot of issues to be discussed with the commissioners and that organization
and not just arguing, discussing what's best for the community.
I personally hate to see the county farm.
I'm concerned that they're going to close, end up in a few years closing that county farm,
and you take that 570 acres and turn into one.
because in turn into what else lots?
I mean, you know what I'm saying?
I'm going way beyond what the issue is.

You know, they, they, they're destroying the North country,
it's how it's industrial, finance, or home,
home families and look at our schools that depleting.
They took out the railroad to put in for the Fort Wheelers.

You don't take out infrastructure to replace it with something else, running it beside it,
but they tore it out.
