The Barrington Trails Committee met on August 11, 2026. Minutes from the July 14th meeting were up for approval. Old business included updates on the July 18th "Kids of the River" trails walkabout, Barrington Trail work, and a 25th Anniversary Walk scheduled for August 15th. A reminder was noted for apple picking on September 20th. The committee discussed installing "No Parking" signs at trail head parking lots and agreed to a work session to set the Peach Orchard Trail sign and weed the trail. Items for the Ross Rd kiosk were discussed. New business included plans to clear downed trees on the Cemetery Trail and mark a route to connect it to the Black Gum Trail. The committee will use Google Drive and coordinate with the Barrington Snowgoers to remove trees from the pond area on Tibbetts Rd. The next meeting is set for September 8th.
