Approval of Minutes – Tuesday, July 21, 2026
9
MOTION:
On a motion by Adam Mini, seconded by Kevin Farrell, it was voted unanimously
10
to accept the minutes of July 21, 2026, as written. (5-0)

Site Reports
13
Beech Grove
14
Kehoe’s corner posts are installed. Good job.
15
Mark & Grace McNamara sent us their checks 2 weeks ago, received today.
16
Bridgette Evans full burial 7/23. Waiting for owner to send notarized burial designation
17
list from Florida. All checks have been received. Purchased 8 graves. There was
18
some immediate grave settling due to heavy rain. Dignified repaired. Some of the
19
extra rocks were left on the property wall and one over the wall. They’ll be back
20
to remove.
21
Buzzell - The Womack’s purchase package was three weeks by USPS. He has completed all
22
purchase requirements. Corner posts have been ordered.
23
Clough - JR will work with Mr. Dawson in the fall on plans for enclosing the small Clough graveyard
24
on his property. Given the site’s small size, JR will talk to Kevin Fife. The members agreed.
25
Copp - JR checking on availability and cost for 3 replacement gravestones.
26
Cailyn reported that Mr. Stoddard completed his research on the Bean family. She said
27
that she was “blown away” at the detail and presentation of his report. It was extremely
28
professional and contained a huge amount of detail. The Trustees will send a very large
29
thank you to Mr. Stoddard.
30
Candace noted that volunteer assistance to the cemeteries has grown very much over the
31
last few years and it is truly the result of reaching out and requesting it!
32
Durrell – Project to install 9 granite posts w/turnbuckles around a 27’x44’ area approved at
33
$5,005 and awaiting contractor. No sign included. We will request a deeded easement. JR
34
confirmed with Sanville we’re hoping for this fall.
35
Edgerly 1 – Trails committee helping, awaiting their schedule.

Guinea – JR & Northernscapes (Paquin) to meet about
37
tree removal as their schedules permit.
38
Hillside – Project to repair parking areas approved at
39
$1,650 completed. We will request a deeded
40
easement. This is the next site for the placement
41
of veteran markers and JR has ordered. Sanville
42
did some additional work as part of the project
43
including removal of rocks for the site.
44
Town Pound – JR asked to have the setback numbers sent
45
to him for this parcel. He checked the pins lately
46
and one seems to be out of sync with the others.
47
Candace will send him that plan.
48
Wilson Hill – Vinnie reported one tree down in Wilson Hill. JR & Karen cut up. No stone damage.
49

50
Other Project Reports
51
Sexton Paul Lines – Paul is not working right now due to his health. His schedule for returning is
52
unknown. Karen is continuing the work for now. A trailer is available for her use. The
53
Trustees greatly appreciate her taking on the work alone and will look for her
54
recommendations as things move forward. Candace will check with the town on how best
55
to continue getting mower fuel from the town garage.
56
Mark your calendars - Historical Society Cemetery programs:
57
August 26th, 6:30pm, A Beginner’s Guide to Cemetery Sleuthing program
58
September 19th, 2pm, Tour of the Hillside Cemetery. All available info has gone to Cailyn
59
who is researching for tour.
60
Abandoned Burial Grounds – Will request Selectmen schedule public hearing for Ayers, Durrell,
61
Foster, Indian, Town Farm, & Weed.
62
Gravestone Cleaners – Still working at Tibbetts. Many stone repairs necessary.
63
Offer of Assistance – Cailyn will now ask Mr. Stoddard for help on one of the highlighted stones
64
for the Hillside historical walk.
65
Computer – The Town purchased a new computer for cemetery access. The current one in the
66
town hall being used for cemetery access is so old and under-powered that a functioning
67
access is not always available. The new computer is in the town hall and allows Candace
68
and Adam to log directly into it to access files and to use their own local printers, etc. It
69
has made the administrative work so much easier. The Trustees agreed to contribute
70
$1,000 from their budget towards the computer as this is a unanticipated necessary mid-
71
year purchase for the town.
72
Cemetery Access Easements – Candace will send letters to landowners for access easements to
73
Carr, Clough, Durrell, Edgerly 2, French, Hatch, Hutchinson, Indian, Lougee, Parsons,
74
Sanborn Farm, Weed, Wicka, and Wilson Hill.
75
Website – Work to be done on website to fix broken links, update, etc.
76
Cemetery Mapping – Candace to contact rep from Wilcox & Barton regarding aerial mapping.
77
Human Resource Training – Candace will see if the Town or NHMA has handouts or videos to
78
provide recommended training. Unlike employees, elected officials are not required to,

and do not usually avail themselves of such training. However, elected officials may also
80
inadvertently expose the Town to liability through their actions because as a result of
81
their town work not being their full-time jobs and many officials may not have received
82
such training. Some of our members noted they had received the training in their jobs. It
83
was also noted that if an administrative sexton is employed, that person will attend such
84
town training to help guide Trustees. Since this is a valid concern for the town, Candace
85
will investigate how the Trustees obtain such training.
