Salary adjustments were outlined for the Superintendent ($23,000), Special Education Director ($29,500), and Business Manager ($13,125). Other costs include Student Support Services at $360,010 and Student Transportation at $212,540. Warrant Article #3 requests up to $50,000 from any surplus for the Special Education Expendable Trust. On motions by BJ Wahl and Mike Blanchard, the committee unanimously approved the School District Budget. On a motion by Gary Patnode, seconded by BJ Wahl, the Budget Committee unanimously approved the Town of Sullivan Operating Budget as presented. A public budget hearing is scheduled for Monday, February 2 at 7:00 PM at the Sullivan Town Hall.

Residents approved a $248,928 General Municipal Operations budget and raised $38,810 for Health and Welfare, noting increased hotel housing costs. Highway Operations received $365,207, plus $65,000 for Valley Road Phase 3 resurfacing. Public Safety was funded at $130,965. The Budget Committee approved January 5, 2026 minutes unanimously. Board member Sherry Connor resigned, and Aimee Fador was introduced as a new member. The Committee reviewed the Fire Department budget of $57,853, noting a $3,587 increase for Fire Mutual Aid due to regional rate hikes. The Board is seeking one new member following Connor's resignation.

Brad Smith was unanimously voted chairman for the 2026 Budget Committee. The Library budget was set at $24,885.97, including a 2.8% COL increase. Planning received $12,315, with reduced clerk hours and increased publishing costs. Conservation’s budget of $2,879 covers increased hazardous waste fees. Recreation was increased by $1,000 to $2,000 to fund a July 4th celebration for the town's 250th anniversary. Cemeteries remain at $9,300. The Highway budget totals nearly $400,000 across administration and operations, including $110,000 for Apple Hill resurfacing and $12,000 for a new spreader. Capital Reserves include $35,000 for major equipment and $10,000 for road repairs. Two military trucks are being outfitted for winter maintenance, with one expected by late 2026. The next meeting is scheduled for January 12, 2026.
