The Newmarket School Board approved Tier 2 social, emotional, and behavioral support, allocating $105,055.00 for contract services and $55,969.00 for a new behavior tutor position. The Board adopted the revised employee handbook with suggested edits. They set the FY24 Fund Balance Retention percentage at 3.5% and approved the 2024-2025 School Board Committee Goals. Policy BIA-R (New Board Orientation) received final approval on second read. A warrant manifest totaling $1,961,808.24 was approved. The Board accepted a $1,700.00 donation from Mercy Church for student lunch debt. Five staff hires, including a Grade 3 teacher and Assistant Principal, and six fall sports coaches were acknowledged.
