We talked about the tent last week, and Mark came up with an idea.
I was talking about putting it right down in here, and Mark suggested way over here.
It's a 20 by 20 tent, and it fits over there perfect,
and all of the bleachers do fit nicely over here left up to DPW to figure out the best layout for that.
Mark suggested having some of them up towards the trees to get the shade from the bleachers standpoint.
So that's where we resolved that issue.
A lot of it thanks to that group that discussed it on the side.
This is on the 20 by 20, I'm going to call it the shade weather tent, but emphasize shade.
And if you, there's some concessions over here.

First thing, so that DPW has some guidance as far as the limits of the tent.
And while I'm standing up here, I'm going to jump over to the signage that we're recommending this year.
Kelly Studebaker helped me with this.
And so if any of us bad, we're going to blame her.
But no, she was a big help in putting this together.
And so last year, I was causing mayhem and havoc right here.
And a lot of the problems had to do with bicycles and stuff coming down.
You can't see it, but the road comes up here.
And the entrance is right about here.
I could draw on the wall, but I might catch the dickens.
So once a bike is down here, they've ridden down the big hill and stuff.
It's a problem.
So I thought that we would put a couple of signs, the same thing, up here.
We've got some handouts here.
And if you go down to the bottom, there's two sets of signage, one on each page.
And the first one says skateboarding, bicycle, etc.
And what I wanted to do, if you pretend this is the upper side here, I was going to suggest a sign on either side of the road up here to fortify that,
including over here at the bridge on the other side one sign of each on that bridge.
So that is the usage of those signs right there.
And do we have those?

I'm not as thrilled with the second one.
It's a little smaller.
It is tin, but it's small.

So, but we've got it because we're running short of time.
And I was thinking, the port-a-potties go down here, and the cars come down on the right.
So I was thinking of putting that post right here with three things on it.
One of the arrows that you see here pointing straight up.
And then the handicapped sign.
And then the other sign was the one we'll be waiting for right up to maybe Wednesday or so.

I just show up and cause problems.
They were going to put some signage here, handicapped with an arrow, and also parking that we have already here.
And I think there was going to be another set with an arrow pointing this way.
I wasn't at the meeting, but I think it was down this way.
So that's three of the four handicap signs.
And then the do not enter, the last sign that I haven't spoken about was, I got in trouble for this last year,
because halfway through the day, I didn't see much traffic.
But the police have this one way for a reason, going around.

So I thought to be helpful, we would put, at first, I thought two, and I think that's overkill now.
Do not enter signs.

During the day, there's a lot of large trucks and stuff, right after the parade, that are
down here.
And what happens is we'll radio up to the person up here, and we're hoping to have an
officer, which I was hoping would be here tonight, but we radio up to the person, or we send
a golf cart up, and they stop traffic from coming down for that short time, because they can't
go under the bridge.
It's too short.
We send them a set of time for them to leave, at what time they can leave.
Right.
But during the day, they're osporatic.
For one reason or another, there's a contractor or something.
But Bruce, Mark, is quite right.
But if there's an emergency, obviously, ambulances can go through the...

When they stop the traffic and go through, if there's an emergency, then you fire or police
have to get out of there.
But you're asking about, can they go left, or have they gotten in left?

The only ones that can go in there, the entertainers on the pavilion stage, and we have parking
there for them.
And I'm hoping Kim is working on some parking signs for some of these things, like not just
handicap, because we have that, but we have entertainers, we have committee parking, we've
usually had designated areas, and so they need to get in there.
So they have to say to that parking attendant, it has barricades across it, nobody else can
get in, but they have to say, I'm an entertainer on the pavilion stage.
If I'm an entertainer on the cafe stage, they go around back, behind the port of toilets, and
they come in from the back side of that stage.
So nobody goes in, unless they're allowed, I guess, to go in.
There's no activity from the concessions, or the vendors, or any of them, they're already
set up.
They can't use that road, they've got to go all the way around, if they think they need
to bring in more soda, or whatnot, they can't.
They're usually, for the entertainment parking, it's usually right here.

And they have to let whoever's at this corner know that they're entertainers, and we'll let

So, people that were on the committee were giving him a hard time.
So, right now, originally I had two packs of two of do not enter, so we could cut back
by one do not enter if the committee felt strongly about the rest of the signage or not.

Some of that, of course, we'll be driving some steaks and stuff.

And then, right up at 8 o'clock, we have now fit in the tent raising of the 220 by 20 tents, along with the old home day tent, and then the shade tent we can do as time permits later.
And then, at 9 o'clock, the Melanie group, I'm hoping, she's not here tonight, and I need to hear back from her, will be coming in to help with arts, backing, and sign setup.
So, we have kind of one right after the other, but if we could get in, as I said, 6 people from the old home day committee to help with this tent raising, that would be great.

The way I'm going to do this, just to try it, Tom had his way, and it worked wonderfully, I guess.

you'll look down the list and see, well, geez, okay, there's an item here,
like putting a little flagging up on the low voltage between the Little League and the low...
If you know what it incorporates, or putting the little fence up in front of the cafe stage.
That's something I just found out about today.
You know, then you'd pick that item up and run with it.
Or if suddenly we only have two volunteers from Melanie, and I had planned on five,
not to say that's a killer even, then you'd go over and help that.
