Is up on what is that? No, no, no, right out on Frenchtown Road, just outside of town, on the west. That's my wife. All right. I can welcome everybody to the Highway Safety Committee June thirtieth, and with that, we will stand and adjourn. The pledge to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. The first time we can take a look at the Approval of the meeting minutes of May 19th. I looked at it earlier and I didn't see anything. I'm good with it. I'll make a motion to approve the minutes of the meeting. A second. All in favor. Aye. And on the oil business it's gonna be I just still, still waiting for con- consolidated data, so it's, and I've been looking back, and this is good, been going on since November of last year. So I don't know what it takes to light a fire anymore. Money, they have no money. So they, they can pretty much handle emergencies and even that at poor at best. speaking of that, I wanna make a note for new business, there's an issue on Clark Hill regarding consolidated Clark Hill? Yeah. Well, I got a complaint on Clark Hill. The speeders. I don't know who it was now that gave me that complaint. She lives up past my, the Holton residence, a few houses, and she was quite ugly. There's a ton of speeders on that road. I can't tell you, and it's sharp curves. Yeah. And I can't tell you how often I'm going around a corner and they're like flying by me. Yep, she said she was, I guess she almost got hit with some, she was. I don't know, I saw her uptown and she, she grabbed me right there at the fireman's, and she said, "You know, she..." I said, "Well, I don't know if I'm really on it yet, still not, or if I went off on it yet." So I, I said, "I would tell you when I saw you, but I couldn't find you, and you were a hard person to find." Good job, Bill. Yeah? You blend well in a crowd. Absolutely. Up to the firehouse, yeah. I just have glasses. No, and when you went and made your speech, I said, "That don't look like him," I didn't judge you, and John just said, "Well, I think it is, it said it was." I said, "Well, don't look like it." Was the state involved with them moving stuff? Over here? Oh, anywhere, just the state of-- With consolidation, so I asked Donna to reach out because she, she's on a committee up at, up in Concord, utility, I, I don't think it's the PUC, but it's some kind of utilities committee. To kind of move things along. And I had thought there was gonna, they were gonna hire private contractors to help them out. I don't know where that went. If they get no money, hiring a private contractor is not- The state would pick up the tab and then somehow the trucks in the mail- Yeah, one of those deals. Do you know anybody with a PUC? Any chance? Totally. I know someone who went there a while ago, but I'll see if he still works there. Okay. the speech went up with Shultz until next year, I figured I'd put it on there just to keep it- Given you know a speed reduction on Bethany McCurdy and there was a public hearing scheduled last time, wasn't there? we had the public hearing on the Bedford and McCurdy, so that's completed. The only thing I believe we were waiting for is Benji had to, I think, put up Just a couple additional speed limit signs, but all of the public hearing is over on that. I thought from the last meeting he said they were all up. Yeah, one was upside, I got the note, one was upside down, he was gonna go fix that, and I think he was just gonna throw up a couple more. Do you want me to take that off? Yeah, the, well, the only, well, I don't, I would assume he got them done, I haven't heard otherwise. Do we wanna wait until he can confirm with us that he's completed? And then the other one, I believe townwide speed signs, and they're still waiting for speed data from PPL. actually, Bruce, hold that back up one second, back on Bradford McCurdy. Yep. So in our last meeting There was a, there was a question of how the Google Maps get updated. So I actually navigated my way through and put the request to Google. Now they said it could take a while but they, they have my request, and I let them know the speed's been reduced to thirty on both of those roads, and I don't know, I don't know how they verify it. They send a driver out here, look at signs, I don't know what they do. But I have at least informed Google. Now I don't have Google Maps on my phone, I don't use it, so, yeah, I use it at home But and I don't have it on my phone, but my car has Garmin I think, and it reads the speed limit sign and it shows up to an eighth of a mile, then it reverts back to thirty-five because So in their system, it's still thirty-five? I would think my, my dashboard reverts back to thirty, thirty-five, but that's because it's got the Garmin program in there And you have to, you have to manually update Garmin annually, I don't believe. I do. Garmin, my Garmin does. I have to, once a year I take it and you gotta plug it into a laptop and it updates itself. My car automatically does That's cool. No, it was, it was a software update. Okay. But my handheld garments, the the one department center, yeah, I, I update those at least every two to four months. Yep. And it's still doing it. Well, actually, but I don't know where Garmin gets their info. I don't know if they get their info from Google. I don't know that. I don't know. But, but- Keep an eye on it. All right. I mean, I did reach out to, I, like I said, it's Google now has the information. How they verify it, I don't know. With the tower speed signs We're waiting for PD for speed in second Hampshire Turnpike, Twin Bridge, and Chestnut Hill So I don't know if Steve's had a chance or one of his guys had a chance. I don't know. He's, he's been sl- he's been straight out. Or is that that won't be Benji, will it? Is that the state? So Southern New Hampshire Planning Services, he said he was gonna reach out to them to see where they're at, they, they were more than happy to do it. I just-- I don't travel those roads very much. So I can't tell you if they'll, if they'll, they're out or not. We can put a note just for Benji to follow up and Steve to follow up on the speed data. And the last one Businesses Chestnut Hill development West Point General, Planetside, and immediately, I haven't seen anything, I've been kind of on the radar, but I haven't seen anything on their agendas. Regarding that, so I definitely would recommend we keep that on because we'll have to move-- Yeah, so that's gonna have a big effect-- Huge on Wilson Hill and oh, wow, Fire. That moment. Haha. Yeah. So I haven't, I did, speaking of, I guess we can talk about that now. We did get some data from one of the residents on Yeah, I saw it, I went through it, and the thing that I'm a little bit perturbed about is tractor trailers. Yes. They shouldn't absolutely not be allowed in. There's no way they could make that Those sharp S turns and stay within the right, not safely. And so they can't stay in their lane. But towards the end, she's definitely settled down, she's saying they've settled down. I don't know if it's vacation season or they've, they truly are done with the development right now and we're just waiting until Chestnut Hill goes up. I don't know. Yeah, one of them I thought you said that it came up byam, went up to the top, and came back down again and went into the one of the two houses at the bottom of Byam. You get the bottom of Byam right. What was that all about? Couldn't tell you that one. Wrong directions probably. And probably soon I'm gonna wake up and realize, "Oops, I don't buy it." Yeah, no, no business we have a lot of sales here. Do you plan on getting sworn in by Kim sometime? I will, yeah. Great. She's here tomorrow until seven, and then out Thursday, Friday. On the other side of that, Aaron resigned. Yep. On page two is just any additional information for discussion. I def- I definitely have a few things I don't know where I'm gonna find Benji's email, but I will take it up. So, as I mentioned there's a low-hanging wire on Clark Hill Right where the pavement ends, dirt starts. It's been there, somebody's been in there, you know, they put the survey tape on to like, hey, look, there's a wire here, be careful. So it's a low-hanging wire I think trucks can get around it if they go into the opposite lane But it's, it needs to get addressed, and I don't know if Benji deals with that. It's Com- it's Comcast telephone line. I don't, I don't think it's, it's definitely not power. It's not power. I don't think it's cable. I, I need to look. I need telephone. I think it's telephone line. I think it's telephone line. And chances are, if it's been, if it's been reported, then Comcast has been really good. the other company, not so much. Yeah. But I guess if they don't know about it, then it needs to be reported. So I don't know if that's something Benji- Well, it's funny 'cause Eversource, Eversource was on that road when- When that thing was down, how they knew about it. They may-- and they may have been the ones that put that ribbon on it. I would think they would know who had them. I don't-- I can't see somebody in their pickup truck doing that. We, we went up, we were coming back on that road, and they were there. And just as I went down, I noticed the, the ribbon on it, and they were right on the dirt part. So, so is there any concerns with the fire truck going up? Oh, that would be, yeah. That's what I figured. So it has to get done, it is an emergency issue. I just don't know who. I guess we can let Kathy know, she can make a phone call. Yeah. It had a little wire on, on low at the single digit side, but since I moved in, but it's, it's the very bottom wire which is, unless I'm being found, Comcast, is it across the street or is it just- No, it, it follows the parallel of the street, but you can grab it. So the drill rigs, Rick, I'm sure you remember this, for the longest time, Don Till, Rod and Francis down there, you could do that, you could get out of your truck and grab them, they were so low. Yep, it finally picks up, and it's been that way, been that way for, for a long time. Seven, eight, ten years. Yeah. I have Kathy Simpson to reach out with Ben GPN. Okay, so Benji had two recommendations. I gotta pop my memory here. I know one is becoming out Was it Bogart? No, it's Christie, Roby, and Christie. Alright. So I won't write on the wall. If I do, I'll blame Sally. Okay, so you've got Christie Road that comes out, and you can turn on Bedford. Look, you can also just stay straight, and that goes into Goffstown. So Christie kind of turns here and then when it turns to dirt, and then if you go straight, it turns into Robey Road. Well, at the end of this road, there's a yield sign And that really doesn't make a lot of sense for a yield sign. It should be a stop sign. I definitely agree with him on that. Is it on Christie? Yeah, it would stop traffic coming from Christie in this direction. Yes So that should be a stop sign and not a yield because you know, you get the, you people coming down the hill on Roby then you know, right at the bottom of that hill is where Crystal comes out. So, you know, tech- technically, Christie starts at the Bedford intersection and goes straight. Any road that comes into it would need a stop sign, wouldn't it? I don't know how they You're saying, you're saying put a stop sign at Roebling, coming down Roebling, that's, that's coming down and then onto-- I hear what you're saying. I don't know if that would really-- I don't know if the logic is-- I don't know if that would apply to the logic that the flow, the flow of the road is more that way than-- Right. And yeah, but then your main roadway versus your-- But the stop sign roadway is, is more appropriate There used to be a stop sign there. I always stopped for it. Still, even though there's- So I- I mean, I would recommend, and this would have to go to the board, but I wanna just run it by this committee first. If we're good with it, then I'll bring it to the board because we have to have a public hearing on it because we're changing a sign. any objections to changing that to a stop sign to, on where, on Roebe, Kristi? Kristi, I wouldn't want to stop traffic on Roebe Because it's a yield sign now coming out of the dirt road in Christy to turn onto paved on Christy. They should put something up on that road because then big curves slow people down. They come down through the-- Now is that, is that Goffstown? Where did, where's the town line at? I don't really know, but I think it's New Boston. Oh, it's going up over the hill. So you, if you gotta put one of those curve signs, wouldn't that be on them? 'Cause you want it, you want it before you get into the curve Oh, okay. So I think that would be their, their issue. I don't know what's going on with those traffic, Roby or Crystal? Definitely gonna be Roby all day long. Yeah. That's why I wouldn't wanna stop that flow. But you can certainly stop somebody's not familiar with Christie and they come out hollow yield. I mean, we all know what yield sign means But apparently the newer generation not familiar with how yield works, which I think the stop sign would be more appropriate. Yeah, there was one there years ago, and then they changed. And they didn't mention that they changed, oh, yeah, they, and they, so we bought a ton of yield sizes, threw them all over the place, put the things we needed. So I would be in favor moving forward with changing that to a stop sign. And give me a minute here, there was an- Oh Laurel Lane is the second one. Come, it comes out onto Mccurdy. Oh, well yep, there's no stop sign there. And that's a true T intersection. So he reck- he reck- he reckons the main road, the main road, it's the main road. It also dead end in a room. I think so. Or if it doesn't, go into a class five or class six. But I've never- but there are residents, there are houses on that road for a bit, so he recommends that that, that a stop sign be put there. Again, it's a true T intersection. So I would have no issues with that. Oh, that's all I have. Nothing else. And last, is the next meeting date would be the third Tuesday in July, would it be the twenty-first? Is that doable? I would be okay make a motion that we adjourn. Second. All in favor, aye. Aye.
