We just met here very quickly, and then we went off to do our cemetery inspection.

So we usually start with our maintenance updates and a section report.
I just want to say that when I was at our reef laying ceremony for Governor Weir and
Bev Mucci was there with me.
she pointed to this giant dead tree in front of Old Brookside.
I just never noticed.
He goes, you know, that tree is dead?
I went, yeah, it is.
So there's a big right in front.
And so I happened to see Ross Hilliard, the road agent.
So I did inform him that we had that big dead tree in front of Old Brookside.
The whole tree is dead.
So he's going to check it.
So I will update if anything happens with that.
Oh, because there's nothing, no leaves on it.
It's kind of a smaller.
It's a smaller, nicely rounded.
It's too bad because it looked like it was probably a good tree at one point.
Oh, yeah.
There's another one further up.
He might as well cut, too.

And the other thing to report from this past month is that month,
and I think that, and I think I even,
mailed you all that Mary Ann Hill came with three UNH interns because I asked her
about the invasives growing along the beautiful old fence in front of Old Westview
because we had gone over and done some inspection there and we're wishing we could get
rid of it.
Well, it turns out they came over and completely cleaned that fence out and I think it looks
awesome.
You can actually see the whole fence now if you drive by.
I think it's beautiful.
So thank you going green.
They, yeah, Russ had said he'd open the, the rush dump for us,
but we ended up not being able to pick it up ourselves, so that was nice.
I did put their photo and a thank you in the town newsletter coming out to thank them for doing it.
And that was great.
And then when we finished with it, Marianne mentioned, because I'm looking at these
stumps, some of them are six inches to a foot high that they, you know, cut off this brush.
Because a lot of it, they just cut.
They're not digging anything out.
They're just cutting it off.
And I said, well, this is all going to, two years from now, it's all going to be grown back again.
So she said you can get licensed herbicide applicator, application people, to come
and deal with it so that it won't grow back.
So I asked her who that would be, and she since emailed me a couple of references of companies,
and it sounds like it's sort of in your Bailey Wick, Glenn, right?

Is this non-toxic?

I think, yes, it's not like you're spaying Roundup or something.
These are like herbicides, they're safe for the environment.
They kill, and from what I read, they have to be, it has to be a fresh cut,
so they would probably come in and do a fresh cut, and then they would.
So to keep that fence clean, it makes sense.
Yeah, I don't know.
So it might be something we could look into.
They just did Westview, the iron fence in front of Old Westview.

So that involves the herbicide.
Now, no, they also went into Westview because I remembered we had some bittersweet on our list.

And on that list, we had some graves that I had said that I had said, bittersweet.
So I showed her.
So I showed her those, and she sent the interns over.
And on the ones that I updated here by Inello, Ernest Brown, Vigno, and Edgeley,
they cut off all the bittersweet.
So those are done.
The Clemena Alice one, I had marked as a big mess, and it was mostly done.
But they're still, so they don't, they're a little leery of poison ivy.
They don't deal.
They're looking for a bittersweet.
invasives that they can, but she doesn't send these interns in if it's like a big mass of
poison ivy.
So there's still a little bit more to clean with Kalamina's update.
But at least they got those done off our list.
Because there was another one that was the big mess that was Josiah Brown and Susan Blake.
And remember, it had a leaning stone.
And she wanted to do that, but it was just too much.
much poison ivy for them to do.
So we'd have to figure out how to get rid of that first before they could go in and help us.
Or maybe it could be dug out with a machine.
But anyway, so our list is updated from the work that they did, which is great.

The other thing I just wanted to put in the minutes was that on June 25th,
we had some grave cleaning going on in over.
Westview. The volunteers were myself, Linda Savoy, who is from the Rees Across America,
and is helping with our event, and Dee-D-D-Kul-Harris came.
And Mark, Elise, with his wife, Connie was there, and I'm forgetting someone.
And weezy.
Oh, my gosh.
So all of us were, I know, she was like, she was the last one there.
She wouldn't quit.
Oh, yeah.

Mark Elise and his wife Connie, yes.
So I thank them by email.
But I meant to, I actually want to get a card and think, but I'll do that.
I feel like the heat's battled my grave.
But, yeah, so we sprayed and cleaned, especially the Patriot graves, and made sure they all had the flag and everything.
And we did a few extra graves because weezy wouldn't stop.
And we used our.
D2 biological cleaner, which we had already purchased a year or so ago.
We have some left, too.
So when it gets cooler, if we want to do another cemetery, we can.
So that was great.
So that's between the fence and cleaning the graves.
That looks great for July 25th, which is our event there.

track of the burials.
And I'm actually going back in the old files, because there were some certificates in there
that sort of indicate a burial.
So as much as I can find, I'm putting it in our database.

We talked a little bit about a bylaw revision because we wanted to be sure people put those
corner markers in.
So I took the liberty, and this is just, just get us started on it.
Nothing definite.
if you, this is the first, there's the first page and the second page only that I've copied.
If you turn it over onto page two at the top, I adjusted a sentence that I want you to see how we want to do it
or if we want to change it or we can think about it for till next month, but it says it's required
that when a burial plot is purchased, the four corners of such plot be permanently marked
using stone markers that flush with the ground and bearing the first initial of the owner's last name.
So here's the sentence I adjusted.
Such markers will be purchased by the plot owner and installed by a professional monument company within six months of lot purchase.
So I don't know if that's what we want.
I was taking a stab at it.

Frying Pan Lane, other old business, the Oak Lawn Road up the center.
The trustees are in favor of going back to the three-foot-wide center path that was on the original map.
And Bob checked on that, and there's no reason why we can't do that.
So I've contacted Troy to get a new estimate for a three-foot-wide center.

There'll be a morning Board of Selectmen meeting again to hopefully finalize that with his new
price.
I don't have it yet.
So I won't be sure I have that by.

The other frying panelling project that was approved was the gravestone repair, which is
basically as needed.
We haven't seen anything yet.

That stone, if we ever get that poison ivy out of that Westview lot, there's a stone to fix in there, but we have to clear it first.
So that's as needed.
The third one was our exciting one.
We had the GPR Grave Penetering Radar, Company Come, Bob Perry from Topographics, came with his device on June 29th, spent half a day, and he,
was able to find the two unmarked burial locations in the Stickney lot in Westview and
the Huff Thurston lot.
So he has marked those with metal plates, and we can now proceed with dividing those big lots,
reserving the area he said is an unmarked grave.
And his final determination is called
highly probable.
So it's worth preserving the spot for an unmarked grave.
So our next step going forward will be to meet down there sometime and mark it out and see how
if there's any grave lots we can mark out for sale of those two big 25 by 25 foot plots.
And Friing Pan Lane has the invoice for Bob Perry and they will be paying that.
So that was well worth the two half day.
He also went over to Westview and was able to find seven lots in Westview that were reserved for a tree that is no longer there.
And he found where the stump is.
So if we want to eventually pull that out, we could also get seven lots freed up over there in lot 112.

Saturday morning is our event in the Old Westview honoring the Patriot Graves in cooperation with the Rees across America of Hampton Falls and Linda Savoy's group.
We need a volunteer at each grave so that when they do the honor roll and they march to the grave and they do the honor ceremony, the person there can hand them a,
flag and some flowers that are going on to the great.
So I'm going to, Linda wants to start a list of make sure we have 13 people.
