Master Plan Update Committee minutes (minutes)
The Master Plan Update Committee met at 5:30 pm with members Stone, Gibson, Kluk, Schwartz, Schwartz, and Robertson. Nan moved and Jed seconded to approve the September 16, 2025 minutes; the motion carried. The committee reviewed the draft of Chapter 7 (Cultural and Historical Resources) presented by Nan. Five survey responses from the prior Community Feedback Event were received and were mostly favorable, prompting Donna to adjust the current event. The committee established a new schedule for future Community Feedback Events: Land Use & Zoning on October 22, 2025; Town Services & Facilities on November 12, 2025; and Rural Character & Sense of Community on December 3, 2025. Jean moved and Jon seconded to adjourn at 6:00 pm; the motion carried. Following the meeting, townspeople participated in the Community Feedback Event, drafting three versions of Vision and Mission Statements focused on Economic Development priorities identified in June. Master Plan Update Committee § Meeting Minutes October 1, 2025 § Page 1 of 1 Master Plan Update Committee Meeting Minutes October 1, 2025 Members present: Donna Stone, Jon Gibson, Jean Kluk, Jed Schwartz, Nan Schwartz, Martha Robertson The meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm. Nan moved, Jed seconded to accept the minutes of September 16, 2025; motion carried. The committee reviewed the draft of the 2025 Master Plan, Chapter 7, Cultural and Historical Resources that Nan presented. There were five responses to the post-Community Feedback Event survey that Donna had sent out to the last Event’s attendees. Donna had also received some in-person comments. Most responses were favorable; Donna made adjustments to this evening’s Event, based on given suggestions. Donna outlined the format for this evening’s Community Feedback Event. The Committee changed the topics of discussion for the rest of the Community Feedback Events. The new schedule is: October 22, 2025 Land Use & Zoning November 12, 2025 Town Services & Facilities December 3, 2025 Rural Character & Sense of Community At 6:00 pm, Jean moved, Jon seconded to adjourn; motion carried. The committee then moved to the Community Feedback Event, where approximate ?? townspeople were invited to participate in crafting a version of the Vision Statement and Mission Statement for the Economic Development chapter of the Master Plan, focusing on the top three priorities that were identified in the June Community Event. The participants developed three editions of these Statements to give to the Master Plan committee to use as a basis for creating an initial draft. The Community Feedback Event ended at 7:30 pm.
