Minutes

The Plainfield Planning Board found no violations of Marsh Excavation's approved permit during a site visit at 105 Cutler Road. Travis and Avery installed wood for the Cutler Road bridge wearing course, and magnesium chloride was applied for dust control. Avery Marsh will submit trucking logs to the town office. Betsy and Patrick Duany expressed concerns regarding traffic levels and road width near the gravel pit. Board members noted that if the Marsh on-site business adds employees, a Zoning Board review would establish operational parameters. Regarding the subdivision at 14 Route 120, LLC, Donnie Goodwin withdrew the project on Zoning Administrator Halleran's recommendation. The project will return for board review once compliance with NHDES and the NH Division of Forests and Lands regulations regarding wetland concerns is confirmed. The next meeting is scheduled for October 5. Source: https://www.plainfieldnh.org/docview.aspx?doctype=minuteDoc&docid=13365

14
Marsh showed the Planning Board the gravel pit operation and discussed the volume of material removed
15
and the number of truck trips taken out each month. The wood for the Cutler Road bridge wearing course
16
was purchased by Travis and Avery and installed by the highway crew, Magnesium chloride has been
17
applied to the road as needed for dust control. Avery Marsh will forward the trucking logs to the town

— Town Office
— Betsy and Patrick Duany, 86 Cutler Road: Betsy and Patrick Duany
22
attended the Meriden Town Hall portion of the meeting to discuss their experience living near the gravel
23
pit and the additional traffic on the road. They remain concerned about the number of vehicles and the
24
width of the road. The gravel pit, the on-site business, and the new home have all impacted their lives.
25
They emphasized that they get along with all their neighbors and are simply trying to better understand
26
what can be done to minimize the impact of these changes. Board members noted that if the Marsh on-site
27
business grows to include employees, a Zoning Board review of that business will provide additional
28
opportunities to set parameters.
29
30
Currently. there are three residential uses on the road (two owned by the Marshes), the Marsh site work
31
business run as a sole proprietorship, and the permitted excavation site, also owned by the Marshes. The

Duany family owns the other residence.

with NHDES and the NH Division of Forests and Lands regulations, the project will return to the Board
