The original contract was last updated on October 29,1997. Commissioners and staff emphasized rewriting the agreement because consolidations and valuation changes have rendered the 1997 document obsolete. Executive Director Seamans reported that a spring invoice arrived 30 % higher than budgeted after Hales Location's property revaluation increased assessed value, forcing the Counqt to locate approximately $30,000 within the Hales operating budget. Proposed draft language would require North Conway Fire to supply a preliminary estimate in September (after DRA valuations are due September 1) and a final bill in February while the County budget remains open, with payment due by April. North Conway provides its own rescue services; a separate ambulance transport contract exists with Conway. Hales Location receives Commission agendas and maintains regular contact through staff.
