Master Plan Update Committee minutes (minutes)

The Master Plan Update Committee met on November 12, 2025. The committee voted to accept the October 22, 2025 minutes. Regarding the December 3, 2025 meeting, the committee decided against holding a separate public session on preserving rural character, deeming it redundant based on prior feedback. Instead, December 3 will be a working meeting to plan the next steps for the Master Plan. In preparation, 2015 Master Plan chapters will be distributed to members to identify sections needing updates. Nan Schwartz will email town boards and committees requesting their updated goals for inclusion. Following the business meeting, the committee held a Community Feedback Event where townspeople drafted a Vision Statement for the Town Services and Facilities chapter, focusing on three top priorities identified in June. SPEAKER_2 moved to adjourn at 5:45 pm. Source: https://www.washington.nh.gov/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Minutes/_11122025-201

December 3, 2025 meeting

Since the subject of preserving the rural character of the town has been raised and discussed at
all the prior Community Feedback Events, the committee agreed it would be redundant to hold a
separate Community meeting for this topic.

Instead, the December 3, 2025, meeting will be a committee working meeting to plan how to
proceed with the next steps in forming the Master Plan.

In advance of this meeting, copies of the 2015 Master Plan chapters will be distributed to the
committee members to highlight the parts that need to be updated.

Nan will send an email to send to Town Boards and Committees to ask them for their updated goals
to be included in the new Master Plan.

At 5:45 pm, Jed moved, Jon seconded to adjourn; motion carried.

The committee then moved to the Community Feedback Event, where ?? townspeople (including the
members of the MPC) were invited to participate in crafting a version of the Vision Statement for the
Town Services and Facilities chapter of the Master Plan, focusing on the top three priorities that were
identified in the June Community Event.

The Community Feedback Event ended at 7:30 pm.

Respectfully submitted,
Martha Robertson
