The Cemetery Commission opened its August 5, 2026 meeting at 7pm with Commissioners Joe Cartwright, Melanie Marsden, and Glenn Elsesser present. Joe moved to approve the July 22, 2026 minutes, seconded by Glenn; the motion passed. Regarding the Right of Way to Rust cemetery, the commission decided to visit the land owner in two weeks to discuss obtaining a deeded Right of Way. The commission discussed removing lilac bushes to upright a tall monument at the Alstead Center cemetery. A budget review indicated expenses are on course to stay within the approved budget. Updating of the "Blue Book" Rules and Regulations handbook began through article 14 and will resume at the next meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for August 19, 2026 at 6:30pm. Minutes of Cemetery Commission Aug5,2026 Meeting opened at 7pm with Joe Cartwright, Melanie Marsden, Glenn Elsesser and guest Joel McCartry and Ted Benson in attendance. Minutes of July 22,2026 were read. Motion to accept by Joe seconded by Glenn. Motioned passed. Old Business The Right of Way to Rust cemetery report was presented by Joel and discussed. Decision made to visit with the land owner in two weeks to see if a deeded ROW would be OK with him. Talked about the removing of liliac bushes to upright a tall monument in Alstead Center cemetery New business Reviewed the budget expenses to date. We are on course to stay within our budget. Started reviewing and updating the “Blue Book” Rules and Regulations handbook. Got as far as article 14. Will resume updating at next meeting. Next meeting Aug 19,2026 6:30 pm.
