A motion was made by Deb Foss and seconded by Mark Evans to move forward with the paint and mural project. All in favor, motion carried. Chromebooks in Berlin Public Schools: Autie Hamilton informed the board on the rotation specifics of Chromebooks for students. They are on a four-year rotation and are retired in the fifth year. At the end of the fourth year, the Chromebooks are sent back to the company, which picks them up, wipes them clean, and, depending on the condition will pay the district $15.00-$30.00 per Chromebook which goes back to the City General Fund. Autie Hamilton stated that Chromebooks are the most cost effective route and it is much safer than students using their own devices. Unfortunately, the cost has increased significantly this year. Approval of Job Description of the Family Support and Community Resource Coordinator: Tammy Fauteux stated that the district has not been able to fill the Social Worker position at BES. In light of that, replacing the social worker position with the Family Support and Community Resource Coordinator will help with recruitment.
