Minutes for July 21, 2026 were approved. The Button-up Tamworth workshop is postponed until 2027, while the Maker’s Mill event proceeds this year. The celebration is set for September 3rd, 5:30–7:00 pm; Gabrielle will send reminders. Regarding EV chargers, $22,651 is raised, enough for the estimated $18,000 TEC-managed option. T.J. will recommend this to the Select Board on September 8th at 5 pm. GreenWave offered sign design assistance. For the Tamworth Pines Cooperative solar project, Peg and T.J. volunteered to lead discussions. Future meetings are scheduled for the third Tuesday monthly from 4:15 to 5:15 pm, excluding September. 1 Tamworth Energy Committee Meeting Minutes August 25, 2026 Cook Library and ZOOM Call to Order: 4:15 Present: Gabrielle Watson, Ted Morgan, Peg Loughran, John Kumm, and T.J. MacAndrews Review & approve minutes Minutes for 21 July 2026 approved. 1. Button-up Workshops The Tamworth event has been postponed until 2027, but the Maker’s Mill event will go forward in 2026. 2. Planning for Celebration/Reception Thursday Sept 3rd – 5:30 to 7:00 Gabrielle will send a reminder, since she has received only about 10 responses so far. According to T.J., the event will be BYOB for those who want wine or beer. Gabrielle will bring some box wines, Peg will bring bread for cheese, and John will bring a cooler of beer. 3. Update on EV Charger Fundraising and Next Steps in Construction Planning $22,651 dollars have been raised so far, and this is sufficient for the option being considered. The turnkey options are both roughly $2,000 over this amount, so a TEC managed option looks most desirable, since it would come in at around $18,000, and includes all the necessary payment and safety functionality. T.J. will present for TEC and recommend this to the Select Board on Tuesday September 8th at 5 pm. GreenWave offered the services of their designer for the sign to be placed at the charging station. Peg also talking with a sign vendor about design and manufacturing the sign. TEC discussed the need to ensure that the charging stations are easy to understand and user friendly, to facilitate acceptance. 4. Possible Solar Project in Tamworth Pines Cooperative, TBC The community management is interested in options for acquiring solar energy. The community is a cooperative as of 2006 with about 50 residences, and they have the necessary authority for doing a ground-mount PV system in a common area of several acres that is available. They could own themselves or use a PPA. Rocksolar NH recommends an area of roughly and acre. Peg and T.J. volunteered to lead a discussion on this opportunity. 5. TEC Meeting Dates Going Forward Meetings going forward will be the third Tuesday of every month from 4:15 to 5:15, with the exception of September.
