2025 Annual Report
The Orford Village District Annual Meeting on April 1, 2025, elected officers including Gail Dimick as Moderator, Jane Hebb as Treasurer, and Roberts & Greene, LLC as Auditor, each for one year. No candidates were presented for Clerk or Commissioner. Voters approved raising $60,257.00 for general operations, funded by a $4,957 state grant, $45,300 in user fees, and $10,000 from the unassigned general fund balance. Additionally, $1,000 from water user fees was added to the Maintenance Capital Reserve Fund, and revised district bylaws were approved. All financial and bylaw articles passed by voice vote. Prior to the annual meeting, Commissioners Allan Hebb, David Smith, and William McKee, along with Acting Clerk Jane Hebb, approved the budget without public questions during a brief hearing on March 12, 2025. Minutes of the Orford Village District Annual Meeting April 1, 2025 Article 1: Election of Officers To choose all necessary officers for the Orford Village District for the year ensuing: For 1 year term — Moderator For 1 year term — Clerk For 1 year term — Treasurer For 3 year term — Commissioner For 1 year term — Auditor The following was moved and seconded and passed without any dissenting votes: For 1 year term: Gail Dimick, Moderator, Jane Hebb, Treasurer and Roberts & Greene, LLC, Auditor. There was no candidate for the clerk or the commissioner positions. Article 2: To raise and appropriate $60257.00 for general district operations with $4957 to come from a state grant, $45300 from user fees and $10000 to come from unassigned general fund balance. Article 2 was passed by voice vote. Article 3 To see if the village district will vote to add $1000.00 to the Maintenance Capital Reserve Fund with said funds to come from water user fees. Article 3 was passed by a voice vote. Article 4 To approve the revised bylaws for the Orford Village District. Article 4 was passed by a voice vote. Article 5 To transact any other business that may legally come before this meeting. There was no other business.
