The Select Board reviewed the year-to-date budget, noting the Equipment Maintenance line item requires close monitoring after $2,300 was spent on backhoe repairs. The Board instructed the Road Agent to organize the quonset hut to relocate Engine 4, and established a deadline of September 1, 2026, for the removal of the fire truck not owned by the Town. A part-time employment application was reviewed and approved to offer a job. The Greenville Road paving project is open to traffic but will face sporadic closures for culvert installation. Paving is scheduled to begin late July or early August. The Marcel Road project will commence after Greenville Road progress is made. On Scripps Lane, no project is pending, but residents were informed they may submit professional bids in the future. The meeting adjourned at 7:28pm following a 2-0 roll call vote. Select Board Office - Town of Mason 16 Darling Hill Road – Mann House Mason, New Hampshire 03048 (603) 878-2070 (603) 878-4892 Fax Select Board / HWY Meeting 6/9/2026 Approved Minutes Present: Select Board members Kate Batcheller, Rob Doyle; Admin Asst Jen Tenney; Accountant Brenda Wiley; Road Agent Dave Morrison Absent: Select Board member Antje Skorupan Called to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:40pm by Select Board Chair Kate Batcheller, attendance was taken by roll call as reflected above. • Reviewed YTD budget: o Line item #4312-05 (Equipment Maintenance) – Need to monitor closely. The backhoe has been repaired, the cost was ~$2300. Truck #074 is at A1 now. • Dave was asked to organize the quonset hut to determine if it is possible to move Engine 4 here once Engine 2 arrives. Also, the fire truck (not owned by the Town), needs to be removed by 9/1/26. • A part-time application was reviewed – Dave to call and offer employment. • Greenville Rd paving project – Hammering is done, the road is currently open. It will be sporadically closed for culvert install. Paving hoping to start late July / early August. • Marcel Rd project – To begin once further progress on Greenville Rd is done. • There is a pending PA-7 with a planned landing area off Greenville Rd. Dave has been in contact with the Forester and the logger and discussed the Greenville Rd paving project. The landing shouldn’t interfere with the paving, however, if there are concerns Dave will discuss an alternate landing location with them. • A resident inquired about performing work on Scripps Lane. There is currently no project pending. The resident is welcome to put in a professional bid for contracted work if and when a project arises. • Dave to continue looking for a mower.
