NORTHWOOD SCHOOL BOARD 
 
NOTICE OF PUBLIC FORUM REGARDING 
 
Location: Northwood Café  
511 First NH Turnpike 
Northwood, NH 03261 
Date: 11.12.2024 
 
Time: 6:30 until 8:00. 
 
NOTICE. 
The purpose of this forum is to permit the public an opportunity (beyond the 30 minutes for 
comment afforded at regular School Board meetings) to provide comment and input to the 
School Board regarding the topic identified in the "Public Forum Topics" below.   
The forum is a "listening" session for the Board.  No official statements or actions will be 
taken by the Board at the forum.  The Board will not answer substantive questions at the 
forum, nor will it deliberate or discuss issues raised at the forum.  Rather, the Board will use 
information and questions from the forum for consideration at future business meetings of 
the Board.  
PUBLIC FORUM TOPICS. 
In order to protect the due process and privacy rights of individuals, comments or 
information concerning specific individuals – whether positive or negative, other than Board 
members, will not be permitted, and will be deemed out of order.  Persons with complaints 
regarding individual employees, personnel or students are directed to School Board 
policy BEDB copies of which will be available at the forum, and may be accessed 
currently on the Profile School website. 
Only input, questions and comments relating to the 2025-2026 budget development will be 
accepted.  The Moderator (the “presiding officer”) may rule a commenter out of order 
should the comments veer off-topic. 
FORUM STRUCTURE AND PARTICIPATION RULES: 
 
 
 
 
a. 
The forum is schedule for 90 minutes, but may end earlier if comments have 
ended. 
b. 
A sign-up sheet will be available at the door, for persons wishing to speak.  
Persons wishing to speak will be recognized by the presiding officer in order 
of appearance on the sign-up sheet. While registration is not required, the 
sign-up sheet will establish priority. 

c. 
Questions and answers (Q&A) will be allowed for the purpose of this 
meeting. Question should be addressed to the presiding office Moderator who 
will then redirect to the appropriate person to answer.  
d. 
Each person will be permitted 3 minutes to speak, which may extend to 5 
minutes only in the instance of Q&A during that speaker’s time. 
e. 
Once everyone on the sign-up sheet has had the opportunity to speak, 
previous speakers will have additional opportunity to speak until the forum 
ends, subject to the three-minute limitation. After everyone on the sign-up 
sheet has spoken, the presiding officer may, if necessary, require that 
repeating speakers form a line.   
f. 
No one will speak until he/she is recognized by the presiding officer.  Once 
recognized to speak, the speaker should clearly state his/her name, and town 
of residency. 
g. 
All comments should be directed generally to the presiding officer.  While 
the Board will not be responding to any substantive questions, it may respond 
or ask questions in order to clarify the speaker's comments/questions. 
h. 
Comments on matters other than that identified in the above "Topic for 
Public Comment", may be called out of order.  
i. 
Speakers are encouraged not to repeat comments made by other speakers. A 
simple statement of agreement with past speakers will provide for a more 
efficient use of time. 
j. 
All speakers are to conduct themselves in a civil manner.  Statements that 
threaten violence or are defamatory will be considered out of order and will 
not be tolerated.  The presiding officer may terminate the speaker’s privilege 
of address if the speaker does not follow this rule of order.  Continued 
disruption could result in removal from the forum.
