People did not agree that the purchase of a truck be put in

Our school and town are judged on how our students perform on
standardized tests. Tests are taken on computers today.

Elementary Project
1. Take a more objective look at the project. Look at what you have,
look at what you want to spend, look to put a new parking lot
where playground is. You want to tear up the current playground to
make a parking lot.
2. The community will build that playground for you, as they have
done in other similar towns. Do not ask tax payers for $200,000 to
build a playground.
3. This project is a cosmetic improvement. You need to have
priorities.

1. You seem to be missing the point. There is a big difference between the two.

You lied to the public if you created a Trust Fund to spend the money in
the same year
2. A recent availability of a grant for infrastructure projects from the DOE that was
going to be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Would like to know what we applied for, and if we didn’t, why not.
i. The big problem with a lot of these discussions is the funding issues.
ii. Previously funded at a state level, but might not be now. The local
property taxes are being asked to fund these projects.
iii. Use the state money when it is available. Why should the tax payers fund
anything if you do not take advantage of the funding opportunities.
3. Elementary School Project
a.
A lot of the budget for that project is paving.
i. Feels the paving fund was misused to pave the parking lot for the football
field.
b.
Hassett’s comment about $60.00 not being a large sum: it is to some
people in this town.
